“Wonderful cozy getaway”

Reviewed 7 May 2014

My husband and I spent a week at Big Bear Lake to go fishing and boating. The cabin had everything we could need - fenced yard for our dog, washer and dryer, cable and WiFi! It snowed one night, so having the yard for our dog was really a plus. Our location was central to The Village and two fishing marinas. The Cool Cabin crew works 24/7, so if you need anything, they are right there. Only downside was the bed size was smaller than we are used to and a bit too soft. Other than that, it was great!

“Nice cabin with family feel.”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2014

My wife and two kids, age 6+9 stayed in this cabin, along with our Lab. Back yard was fenced, so we didn't have to worry about dog. The fact that another family owns the home, made it feel more personal. Also was just around the corner of trail/hill that became sledding destination.

“The Ultimate Cozy Coolio Cabin”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2013

We really wanted a relaxing quite place to get away and I truly found it at this location. Very easy to check in and find everything. This is the best place I have found that accomadates large dogs. We will come back and enjoy this place again. Hopefully sooner then later. The only thing was when we entered the place was very hot. Would of been nice if someone could of checked on it prior to our arrival. Next time I will just call. Over all experience was a five star as they say at the Ritz!!!

“relaxing get away !!!”

This cabin had everything we could ask for and more. Upon arrival we found mountain memories to be very clean & tidy with fresh towels, blankets, cooking utensils, cleanings supplies.etc.. even thou we brought our own it was a pleasure to know in the future that all this was available. Futher more there were plenty of games for the kids as well as the family to play :-) and to top it off there was an x box with games & a dvd player with alot of movies to choose from.this cabin is very close to the lake & town. We went jet skiing for the first time the receptionist from cool cabins was very helpful wirh all our questions. We went to Holloways marina right around the corner were they gave us a discount for 2 hours. We will definitely be coming back again !!! Thank you cool cabins.

“Great place to visit and very relaxing enviroment.”

We had no real idea what we were getting into but what a great experience. The staff was wonderful. The cabin was very quaint and inviting to stay. We will be back.

“Great Little Cabin!”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2012

The cabin was very nice for the money. Everything was clean and orderly. This is a great place to rent if it is just two people or a family of four. The main bedroom is a tad small, has a queen bed, (not a big deal to us)and was comfortable. The second bedroom has bunk beds so kids will love it. It's close enough to walk ( 1/2 to 1 mile) to the Village, but part of the way there you walk on the street. The yard is fully fenced. This was a big deal to us because we brought two big unfriendly dogs and didn't want to worry about them escaping. One draw back was the yard is somewhat small for big dogs. The only real problems we encountered were the hot water and the TV. The hot water heater wasn't hot enough, so we didn't have enough hot water for us to both shower. It has to be turned up pretty high. The other problem we had was the Direct TV wasn't working (we have Direct TV at home so we know how to use it). This wasn't a big deal either as there were games to play which ended up being more fun. I would definitely recommend this cabin. I've stayed in several cabins up at Big Bear and this is one of the nicer for the price.

Response from the manager Thank you so much for taking some time to write this awesome review. I just wanted to update you on a couple issues the first being that we went ahead and had maintenance look at the hot water heater and it turns out it was on the economy setting. It has since been fixed so a hot water shortage will no longer be a problem. Also the homeowner came and fixed the Direct television. Once again thank you for writing this review and we sure hope you will give us a call when you are ready to come back and visit Big Bear! Thank you & have a wonderful day

“Happily comfortable”

Reviewed 31 May 2012

We went for spring and it was nice. The cabin was great because it was clean, good enough space, comfortable and good location. Everything you need is there such as blankets, fireplace, kitchenware, soap and more. It was a pleasant stay.

“A great experience overall”

A fantastic and worry-free experience overall. The cabin's location was convenient and close to town. The cabin was nice and cozy- plus the kids absolutely loved the bunk beds!

“Warm fuzzy "Mountainy" feeling enjoyed by all”

Reviewed 29 Feb 2012

We had to book our long weekend at the last minute and we found this little cabin shrine tucked in a "forest like" area located just around the corner from the alpine Slide. We absolutely loved the cabin - we have two children so the bunk beds worked out perfectly. Great size for a family of four or less. Thank you Cool Cabins...we will definitely return very soon!

“A rustic cabin in the best location in Big Bear.”

Reviewed 1 Feb 2012

We very much enjoyed our stay for two days at this rustic cabin, with bunk beds that our kids loved! It was great to be able to walk to the Brewery Diner that has proven to be one of our favorite eateries in Big Bear. The Lake location is also the best!
