Response from the owner Thank you Adrian and Leandro, You have been great guests and hope to welcome you again! Best regards Paris and Thalia
The best thing about this apartment is the fabulous location. It is in the heart of athens, near to restaurants and shops, with easy transport links. Contact with the owner was excellent; you sense that he really wants you to enjoy your stay and is on hand to help in any way. Efharisto, Paris: I had a wonderful stay!
The previous reviews were a bit old so I am happy to report that, as of 2013, the apartment is still nice. Everything about it is very small (rooms, bathroom kitchenette, TV) but clean, neat and in good working order. We weren't concerned because we didn't spend much time there. The location is the biggest selling point. We walked everywhere. My wife and I were traveling with our 10 yr old grandson so I was pleased that the area feels safe at night. The owner is very helpful. Other than that, I can't add to the other reports.
“Appart sympa permettant de rayonner facilement dans athènes”
Le plus de cet appartement est sa situation, en bas du superbe quartier de plaka.Il est au troisième étage d'un bel immeuble L'endroit est très calme Bien que petit il est bien équipé Il y a une clim (très utile en été) uniquement dans la chambre Les fenêtres donnent sur des cours intérieures
We stayed here for a week in March and it was perfect for our needs. My wife never having been to athens before, the location was perfect as it is right in the middle of city center. Steps from Syntagma Square and Monistiraki. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk,as well as all the tourist sites. and if you're feeling like a longer stroll it's also an easy walk to the neighborhoods of Kolonaki and Gazi. Apartment was well suited for us, small kitchen where we made coffee and prepared snacks, also very quite at night. Paris was hospitable and easy to get in touch with.
“Location Location Location!!!”
Great central spot to see the Parthenon and surrounding historical athens. The owners are completely accommodating and provide a clean, straight forward flat that is safe and secure. We highly recommend this mode over the hotel scene.
“Location, Location, Location”
Our stay was wonderful and the location of the apartment was ideal. There were many public transportation strikes that week and we were fine because we could walk everywhere. The Greek people were lovely and I would encourage people to come to Greece
“Nice, quiet, well-located apartment for a stay in the Plaka!”
We stayed for a few days for our visit to athens in September, 2011. While the apartment is small (typically sized, I suppose, for Europe), it was clean, functional, and very conveniently located to all the major sites in downtown athens. The apartment consists of a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchenette area (small fridge, sink, hot water pot). The apartment has a fantastic air-conditioner, which came in handy during our visit, as we had warmer-than-normal temps for the time of year. The windows in the apartment all open to interior courtyard spaces, which means we had little street noise to contend with (which was nice!). It's located on the third floor of a multi-use building and is within easy walking distance of all the major sites (Acropolis, Syntagma square, Agora, etc etc), metro stops, and just one block from the main dinner / restaurant area of the Plaka. Paris, the owner, was great to work with from first contact to booking to wrap-up at the end of the trip!
“Private, pretty, and in the Plaka - what more could you want?”
Perfectly situated by Athens Cathedral (which means ANYone can point you home if you're lost), the flat's only a few blocks from Syntagma subway station OR Plaka OR the Acropolis OR the shopping district OR Monastiraki flea market or basically ANYthing you will want to see. The courtyard next door has restaurants (a few are open until late so you can have treats under the stars and then be home in seconds!) plus a big Starbucks with plenty of maps and guidebooks. There's a nearby chemists, ATM, and grocery, so it's easy to get anything - or anywhere - you want. It's light and airy, painted and decorated VERY elegantly, and has high ceilings so we never felt cramped. The kitchenette has basic gear and a club fridge, the living room is comfy with a nice foldout couch and TV. The bedroom is charming and has a large armoire - PLUS the bed isn't rock-hard (like most Greek beds, for some unknowable reason), with new, pretty linens. The bathroom is very small, which is typical of Greece, but it's spotless (just like the rest of the apartment - clean clean clean!) and pretty, with modern fixtures, and a WASHER! Two things I wasn't expecting: The windows open over a non-decorative atrium between our building and the next, so you can't see the street - but you get plenty of light and air anyway, and we were only home to sleep, so who cared? Also, the building is mixed-use with residences and offices - which is odd to an American - but we only ever saw 1 or 2 other people the entire week which was great. Total privacy! I am planning a return trip and will definitely be staying here - the price is lower than any decent hotel in town, you get a washer, and all you miss is being surrounded by loud, dumb tourists. Paris, the owner, is professional and personable - very nice to deal with and helpful. Lastly - if you stay here, please be nice to the street dog who sleeps on the lobby doormat. He is very sweet but usually thirsty. And tell him I'll see him soon! :)
Me and my wife rented this apartment last month. I can assure you that it is at a top location! The property is comfortable with amenities, is very clean and the building is quiet and well maintained. Paris (the owner) is very friendly, greeted us upon arrival and made us feel comfortable straight away! Overall a great experience_highly recommended!
