“Heaven - relaxing - perfect”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2013

I have stayed at this wonderful place over the last 4 years and I plan to go back again next year. It is truly perfect, just a block from the beach, a walk on the Malecon, great restaurants and local galleries. It is comfortable and clean - decorated with taste and fun. Not to mention a lovely patio for afternoon drinks!

A girlfriend and I I just returned from a week at Casa Casita and it couldn't have been more perfect. We each had our own bedroom. Both bedrooms had overhead fans and aC. The eclectic style of the Casita, the location, the ambience, the patio complete with authentic 1950's wrought iron furniture and separate kichen was all so comfortable and welcoming. And Fun! it was fun to be there. We walked into town every night along the malecon and felt 100% safe and at ease. All the good resturants and bars are just a short stroll away. As is a terrific supermarket . The owners provided us with their personal "Best of La Paz" booklet before we arrived . Ana , the local manager, greeted us , showed us the ins and outs and even offered us with a local cell phone. This will become an every year kind of trip! Can't recommend it enough.

“Our own piece of La Paz”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2011

Perfect, exactly what we were looking for. Right in town so you feel like a local and walking distance to everything, no need for a car. We loved to stroll the malecon morning and evening. The Casita has everything you need for a week or month or more. The courtyard is nice for breakfast and casual dinners. Grocery market is very close by. Decorated in an inviting artsy style and furnished for every need. We loved the beautiful artwork and photography so much, we later purchased one from the owner for our own house! I hope to be back soon.

“Great find just off the Malecon”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2011

Four of us (all adults) stayed here for a week around around New Year's. It was clean and so convenient to the Malecon, restaurants, boat trips, and grocery store. But because it was off the main drag by a block or two, it was quiet (except for New Year's Eve!)and we felt like we were in an authentic neighborhood. Evenings on the patio were pleasant, and it was easy to cook in the well equipped kitchen. Certainly a welcome change from generic hotels. We would stay here again.

“Magical Get-away”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2011

My husband and I stayed at Casa Casita in March, 2011. It is a wonderful home away from home. Paul and Joan have furnished with every comfort you could need. It is centrally located, so we were able to stroll around town on foot, and get to the beaches by bus. The one drawback we experienced was the traffic noise, which, since we were there for Carnaval, was pretty loud until late at night. Once Carnaval was over, it was much more manageable! It was wonderful to experience La Paz in Mexican style. We enjoyed being part of the neighborhood. Ibarra's pottery is very close, and a great place to shop, and there are plenty of wonderful restaurants within a few blocks of the Casita. We would love to stay at Casa Casita the next time we're in La Paz!

“lovely, comfortable, affordable retreat”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2011

It is so wonderful to find a place that entices you to come back again and again. this little Casita acheives this. I have been there twice, I loved it so much. Once with my daughter and son, who loved cooking in the big, well supplied kitchen, and once with my husband, who loved to read in the little courtyard. It is relaxing, furtnished in an artful, folk way, with wonderful bedding. In sum warm and welcoming. Perfectly located, several blocks from the local grocery store, next to the Spanish Language School, Se Habla La Paz, which I also highly recommend. And just a block form the malecon and bay. The owners provide you with all the tips for navigating La Paz. The house has full Satellite and internet access. Wish I could stay there a month!!

“Charming home”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2011

A true delight! upon entering Casa Casita I felt so relaxed and welcomed. Everything I needed was there, including where to eat, what beaches to visit etc. Clean! sheets, towels, kitchen, bathroom - Sitting on the patio having a drink - I cannot wait to go back!

“A beautiful little hideaway in La Paz”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2011

Casa Casita was the perfect little hideaway nestled in a perfect location in La Paz. We were a block away from the water near all the restuarants and shops. Yet felt far away from the tourist, living in the heart of the locals. It is fabulously decorated with local artisians step in and you feel as though you have discovered a hidden gem.

“We are home.”

We have stayed at Casa Casita 3-4 times. Always glad to arrive; it feels like home. Convenient location; quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to mid-town, market & La Malecon. You may contact me for details.

“A perfect spot”

Reviewed 31 May 2011

My wife and I had such a wonderful week at Casa Casita. Perfectly located a block from the Malecon, but just far enough away to be quiet and quaint. We have lived in San Miguel de allende for 6 years and so we wanted to stay in a place that had a Mexican traditional feel but with all the conveniences. What a wonderful stay we had in this perfect spot.
