****We have a 4 nights minimum but if your desired dates are fewer but they fall within 2 reservations or right before/after another reservation please let us know and we are happy to book your reservation.*****


The location is very convenient to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center which is located above the Mount Vernon Metro station!

The Shaw Metro station is 3 blocks to the apartment. The largest grocery store in DC (a Giant Foods) is about a 10 minutes walk right on P and 8th streets!


This is a large house with four bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have king beds and the smaller bedroom has a trundle bed with two twin beds. There are 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the second full bath serves for the other bedrooms upstairs. There is a full bath on the first floor as well.

This house has a modern kitchen with high end stainless steel appliances, and a large dining room. This house is newly renovated with an open floor plan. The living room has pocket doors allowing you to close off the room, converting it to a private bedroom with a convertible sofa bed. The full bathroom is just a few steps away from the living room and has doors opening, to both, the dining room and the hallway.

There is a LED Smart TV with HBO, Netflix and other apps plus a 3D Blue-ray, DVD player also with smart apps in the living room. We have WIFI and live streaming Roku included in the package.

There is a separate two bedroom ground level apartment (no stairs) with its own kitchen and a full bath. The ground level apartment sleeps six people, which is rented separately, but could be rented together with the upstairs unit adding to the capacity of the house.

~NATIONAL CATHEDRAL:20 minute drive/ 1 hr 30 minute walk/ 43 minute bus ride (96 bus).

~RONALD REAGAN AIRPORT (DCA): 25 minute drive/ 32 minute public transit ride (Yellow line).

~WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (IAD): 50 minute drive/ 1 hr and 30 minute public transit (Yellow line to Blue line to 5A bus OR Green line to 5A bus).

Getting around

Metro: There are two metro stations nearby. The Mount Vernon/Convention Center and the Shaw stations. Bus: There are also bus stops at the corner of the unit with direct line to the US Capitol. Bike Sharing: There are two bike sharing stations within a block each. Ride Sharing: Our guests use variety of means to travel around including the ride sharing companies. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the National Mall via metro and about 10 minutes in a car (with no traffic). 15 minute ride from Reagan Airport, 45 minute ride from Dulles Airport. You can read the description for the unit under "KEY DISTANCES & LOCATIONS" for a better idea of how long it takes to get around some local hot spots via car, metro, or by foot!

Response from the owner These guests were great and we cannot recommend them enough. We had one instance of few people next door on their balcony smoking weed but that property is now sold and a couple have moved in. I think he meant "rear deck" since we don't have a desk. That deck has been renovated and looks very good.
