“A perfect stay to create memorable family memories!”
We are a family of four, with two small children ages 5 and 3. This was our first trip to Destin and we chose this condo based on its amenities and location. Our room was ready at 4pm and the check in/out process was easy. The condo was wonderful. I LOVED our view, we had a beautiful ocean view from both bedrooms and the living/family room. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. I loved that the condo had tile flooring, so important when you are at the beach with all the sand, very easy to clean. Other units we looked at had carpet and I honestly just can not imagine how much sand and dirt must get stuck in it. I loved that we had a full kitchen, 90% of our meals were at our condo, out on the balcony enjoying the view! Each morning my husband and I enjoyed coffee on the balcony before the kids would wake up. We saw dolphins playing, stingrays swimming by, and people out on their morning seashell hunts. The beach was beautiful, the sand was soft and as fine as sugar. The water was crystal clear and inviting. We enjoyed mornings on the beach, building sandcastles with the kids, swimming in the water and relaxing under the sun. We walked along the beach in both directions and agreed that our condo had the best beachfront access. At night we enjoyed watching families with their flashlights and buckets in hand go night crabbing along the beach. The condo was in the perfect location for grocery shopping, souvenir shopping, eating, and family activities. We packed a lot of our own groceries this time, but on our next trip I will wait and just do my shopping when we get there. Speaking of eating, we enjoyed a few restaurants: Harry T's on at the Harbor was fun for the kids, we had a wonderful view of the Harbor and watched as sailboats, pirate ships, etc….sailed by. The food was pricey, but good. Dewey Destin's off of Calhun Ave overlooks crab island. Pulling up it's not much to look at but it was the most down to earth place we went and I honestly enjoyed the food here the most. For my 30th birthday we drove to the Donut Hole to grab fresh donuts and a key lime pie to enjoy back at the condo out on our balcony, Yummy! On our last evening we at McGuire's Pub. This location had a ton of positive reviews and although we enjoyed our meal it was really heavy and there was a lot of it. I am glad I did not have to put my bathing suit back on after that meal, ha ha. I am glad we tried it, but I would most likely not go again. Attractions: Not only did we enjoy the beautiful beach and refreshing condo pool, but we enjoyed some local attractions as well. We took the kids to play mini golf next to the water park, $12 for two players. We enjoyed a walk along the Harbor which had shops and fun actives such a rock climbing and zip lining for the kids, I think it was a 50lb minimum for the zip line, not sure on cost. We took the kids out one morning to the Okaloosa Island Pier to fish, sadly we did not catch anything, but plenty of others did and the kids had a fun time. We left the pier and went next door to the Gulfarium Marine adventure park. It is a small park, but we enjoyed seeing the dolphins, and other sea life. Our most memorable activity was sailing on a private catamaran with Sail Away. Captain Bryan was amazing, friendly, and great with the kids. We watched dolphins swim and play, we sailed the waters and enjoyed looking for seashells at crab island. We would highly recommend Sail Away to anyone. This was the perfect beach vacation to create everlasting memories with my family and we are already planning our next trip!
Yes! We had an excellent vacation! It is not very often that something is better than advertised, but your condo exceeded our expectations. The views from the condo were just as astounding as your pictures and then some. We cracked open the patio door each night and fell asleep to the sound of the surf. We saw schools of dolphins and rays from the balcony! The weather was on the cool side, but after the winter we've had "up north", it was still pleasant and we made the most of it. We enjoyed kite boarding, water skiing, The Blue angels, mini golf and go carts, the boardwalk shops, zip line, and of course the beautiful beach. I think the only thing we missed was a helicopter ride! We ate at Dewey Destin, Fudd Puckers, Hard Rock, The Porch, and we also brought home some fresh shrimp from the market. I was impressed with the non frozen fresh shrimp...very good. Dewey Destin won our thumbs up! If we do come back to Destin, your condo is as far as we will have to look for accommodations. Thank you for sharing your home!
“Best sleep I ever had!!!”
Mr. Slone, I have an unusual request. We stayed at your condo last august and had the greatest vacation ever. It was beautiful and everything we could ask for. My question is could you possibly tell me what brand name mattress was in the Master bedroom? I did not wake up a single morning with an ache or pain. It was just the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I thought you might have a record of what was in there. Thank you, Debbie
The view from this condo was wonderful. We watched dolphins from the balcony every morning. The amenities were great, and the beach set-up was especially enjoyed.
Just wanted to thank you for an amazing vacation with my family! Your condo was every bit of what the pictures look like and more! It rained the first part of our stay, but we just did a little shopping instead of laying on the beach! Our favorite place for breakfast was The Donut Hole! There was a little wait, but it was definitely worth it! We even had to stop there and get some to go on our way out of town! I just never imagined the beaches in Florida being better than the beaches in Mexico! We definitely will be coming back and hopefully getting to stay in this beautiful condo! I have to say, it was hard leaving! Simply amazing! Thank you again!
