“Incredible views - Perfect in every way”
My husband and I fell in love with Paris - and this jewel of an apartment. It is quite cozy, but every inch of space is smartly used. Plus, with a location this perfect, who wants to hang out in a room all day? Marie was a generous hostess, meeting us very early in the morning to give us the keys and show us how everything worked. No detail was overlooked; this apartment had everything...bottled water, extra blankets, umbrellas, as well as a library of Paris guidebooks. You're in the heart of Paris, and just an arm's length from several metro stops. You can also just as easily pick a direction and wander through some of the most charming neighborhoods Paris has to offer. Loved this apartment and can't wait to come back again.
“A Paris dream come true”
This beautiful little apartment is indeed a gem. It is small but has everything you need (kitchen, coffee, guidebooks, storage), and nothing you don't (stress). The Murphy bed and beamed ceiling contributes to its charm and the bathroom is first rate. It is perfectly situated on Iles de la Cite overlooking the Seine and, despite having Paris at your feet, there were moments when we thought "Why don't we just sit here all day and watch the boats go by?" But then we would have missed the bakery around the corner and all of the other wonderful places within walking or easy public transport distance. I keep a photo of the tableau of the chairs, table, painting and orchid on my phone so I can pull it up whenever I need a lift. Marie-Christine and Marc are indeed the perfect hosts, and speak perfect English to my very imperfect French. We hope to be able to arrange all of our future trips to Paris around availability of this remarkable, peaceful and romantic place.
“Cozy little place with great views, centrally located”
Loved the river view and the cosy little fireplace. Easy to get to places we wanted to visit, and our hosts were welcoming and helpful. Every little detail was carefully thought through to provide and comfortable stay.
“Efficient and lovely”
We stayed in the apartment for 9 days and loved it! It is small, but incredibly efficient. We were able to unpack 3 large suitcases and store all of our belongings and luggage out of sight. It has everything you could possibly need and the location is fabulous!
“Comfort in a beautiful location”
I was extremely happy with my stay at this apartment. The small space is almost as beautiful as the view itself, making it a very comfortable place to recharge between activities, or at the end of a busy day. It was very easy to get other places in Paris from the location, as well. Note that although the owners call it a love nest, there is nothing overtly romantic about it (except for being in Paris on the Seine, of course!) to make a solo traveler feel out of place. Speaking of the ownership, Marie-Christine was an ideal contact. Her communications were prompt and helpful, and she was very welcoming and helpful during the check in process. I could not have asked for a better apartment renting experience for my vacation in Paris!
Not only will I return to Paris some day, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this same apartment again. Convenient, safe, charming, and everything one would expect from a home in the heart of Paris. Marie-Christine is gracious, helpful, and very accommodating from the time of our first email, to the day I left. What better way to find out where the locals would go, than from a local? If you're questioning this apartment at all, don't. I strongly suggest picking up a fresh baguette, cheese and wine from Ile Saint-Louis and enjoying at least one night in the apartment sitting on the window ledge, overlooking the fabulous view, listening to the musician playing on the nearby bridge, watching the people and boats passing by, and absorbing all the magic that surrounds you! Also, if you're looking for a fantastic dinner that gives you all the charm and attention of a home cooked meal in Paris, go to aux anysetiers du Roy (61 rue Saint-Louis). The owner herself will seat you, take your order, cook and serve you. The beef bourguignon and creme brûlée are to die for! Ah Paris.., until we meet again. To all reading this, enjoy your stay!
All we can really say is "Magnificant"! The apartment was absolutely perfect in every way! Located in a prime local with Notre Dame behind and the river Seine ahead! We could hardly handle the magnitude of what we could see from this beautiful apartment! The river was romantic and the sounds from the bells of Notre Dame were magical! Marie n Marc were the perfect host, even helping us get ready for our train ride to Epernay! Everything in the apartment was exactly as advertised! We loved the fact that we could run back to the apartment at any time "easily" and regroup for our next adventure. We will plan our trips to Paris in the future around the availability of our stay with Marie
The apartment was the perfect Parisian stay for my wife and I. Its central location in Ille de la Cite was perfect, just behind Notre Dame and steps away from the shops and restaurants of Ille St. Louis, but much quieter. The area and the building were very safe. The building has a narrow lift (as can only be had in these historic buildings) which was very convenient. The view to the Hotel de Ville and the Seine was great, specially at night. The apartment is very refined decorated with impeccable taste and high quality finishes. Having a kitchenette allowed us to benefit from the bakeries, cheese store, butcher shop and convenience supermarket in Ille St. Louis. This allowed us a "live in" experience not otherwise available in a hotel. WiFi worked perfectly and we were able to call home from the apartment at no extra charge. Marie Christine and Marc were very efficient, kind and courteous. Their recommendations were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. All arrangements were taken care of perfectly. We would certainly return.
“Wonderful view of Paris”
We would not hesitate to recommend Marc and Marie-Christine's suite to anyone wanting to experience historic Paris in the 18th century, as you explore the Paris of today. The suite had everything we needed and just enough space without the cost of a large apartment. The view onto the Seine and the lights at night were wonderful. Don't hesitate. This one is a winner!
“The Best apartment in Paris”
We can highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a more personal and local introduction to Paris. The apartment is centrally located, close to all places of interest and must have one of the best views in Paris. The hosts are extremely friendly and obliging. Everything you need is provided for in the apartment including washing machine and dryer, wifi, computer, guide books and much more. Your hosts will also provide many recommendations to some really great restaurants in the city. Don't stay in a hotel, stay in one of the most beautifully decorated and centrally located apartments in Paris. We will definitely be back.
