“Great location, beautiful home, fair price”
Lovely little place on a historic old street in the heart of Center City. Well-appointed despite the tiny footprint - people were a good deal smaller back in the day - with all of the amenities you'll need. Came back to Philly for a visit w/ some college buddies and three of us fit more than comfortably. It would be an ideal place to stay for a small family or two couples. I'll definitely be looking in again for my next trip to town.
Thank you so much for sharing you absolutely charming home. One could just "feel" the history hidden in the walls. Perfect location, within walking distance to fantastic restaurants and bars.
Thank you for a nice weekend getaway! We had a great experience renting this property. we had to check in on a day of a major snow storm and declared state of emergency. Mr Russel let us check in on the next day and still use the property for two nights as we had our reservation for. Awesome location! Cannot beat it! close to everything. Did not need our car and parking was found on the next block. The place is small, but you have to appreciate historic decor and feel in order to enjoy yourselves. Place could use a little refreshment (paint, hardwood flooring refinishing) but that did not get in the way of our experience... However comfortable mattresses and nice linens. Really worm (in a severe weather outside. Very decent kitchen. I would recommend it.
“Location, location, location!”
We stayed in this adorable home for 5 nights in November 2013. It was so conveniently located to just about everything in central Philadelphia that we walked most places. The neighborhood is very cute and quiet (even though it is so central), and had many shops and amenities close by (for example, yummy cupcake shop on the corner, a bar a half-block down, Whole Foods and the Foodery close by, several parks/playgrounds within a few blocks). The home itself was comfortable and as advertised. It was fascinating to stay in such a historic type of home. Thank you Josh for such a lovely stay!
“Location location location”
Absolutely fantastic location on a cobblestone street. If you want to be in the heart of the historic district, you can't beat it. Easily walkable to all the downtown attractions. Very comfortable and clean condo with a well appointed kitchen, a dining table, and even laundry facilities. It is on the top floor and happily there is an elevator. We felt fortunate to have found such a great place.
Stayed here for 4 nights over labor day weekend. Our group consisted of 4 adults and the space was perfectly fine for that many people. We enjoyed the character and charm of the building and had no issues with the stairs as some other reviewers state. It was extremely hot/humid and the a/c units in both rooms worked very well to keep us comfortable. The location is perfect, we were able to walk pretty much everywhere we went, the only reason we took a taxi was if it was to hot to walk back. We found the neighborhood to be safe/quiet and with many cute coffee shops and places for lunch. Communication with the owner was great as well, my emails were always replied to within an hour of being sent. Overall we really enjoyed staying in this home and would recommend it to any staying in philly!
“We had a great experience and felt like we got to experience a b”
We had a great experience staying at this Trinity House. My fifteen year old daughter's comment upon walking into the house was " this is adorable!" Very comfortable accommodations. It is easy to feel at home here. The location is great. It is within walking distance of many locations. South street is close by and has many great restaurants and a large Whole Foods. You can walk to Independence Hall and all of the downtown historic sites. The neighborhood is very picturesque and safe. There is no street parking but you don't need a car. The subway stop is a couple of blocks away. Our son is going to school at Temple so we used his car to travel out of town. I looked into car rentals. Enterprise has a car share program about a block away that is very convenient. There are also parking lots close by as well. The kitchen has all you need and the washer and dryer were great to have. There is internet service. This is a 4 level house that has many stairs. If you have mobility issues then I would not recommend this location. The owners are great. Very responsive. We had a great stay and look forward to returning when we come out to visit our son in the future.
“Historic Philadelphia with excellent access to amenities”
My wife and I had a wonderful month long stay at this cozy "Trinity" style house. Located two blocks from Broad Street and the theatre district, we could walk wherever we desired in the City. We parked our rental car in a garage on Broad Street and left it there, except when we drove to the suburbs to visit kids/grandkids and short trips to NJ, NY and RI. Philadelphia is truly one of the great walking cities in the world with so much to see and do. The basement kitchen was more than adequate, and we did quite a bit of cooking there and carried our meals up to the living room, which is comfortable with an excellent TV. The two bedrooms are fine and the single bathroom small but serviceable. Bear in mind that the narrow winding staircase in this type of historic home is not for everyone. Remember to watch your head going up and down the stairs. Overall, we are thinking about spending a month in this home again in a couple years.
“Cute townhouse in a great neighborhood!”
We had an amazing time in this little gem of a house! The four of us (two adults and two children, ages 8 & 9) were comfortable and we absolutely adored the neighborhood. It is close to shopping, sights, restaurants, and parks, and an easy walk to the subway. Central Philly isn't particularly car-friendly, so we parked our car in a lot a few blocks away for the entirety of our stay ($28 per day). The house was well-appointed with everything we needed and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
“Location, location, location!”
Came to Philly from my brother's graduation and didn't know what to expect. This location was a perfect way to enjoy the city. Lots of fun quirky boutiques and bars. We could walk to so many fantastic restaurants! We really enjoyed our time here.
