“Great location amidst cafes and restaurants and comfortable flat”

Our family of 3 stayed in the flat for a week in May, 2012. It has wonderful light and is located in a thriving neighborhood with easy access to buses and the Tube. We especially enjoyed the several cafes practically right outside the door to pick up breakfast treats or have a simple meal. The flat itself was still a bit under development -- I believe we were the first guests to stay in it. It has a basic, but workable kitchen, though we didn't do much cooking. The sitting room/eating area was very comfortable and we enjoyed watching the people going by down below on Upper Street. The little balcony is cute, but it was too cold or wet for us to use it. The two bedrooms are upstairs from the bathroom-- could be a bit of a challenge for some people. Internet and cable TV worked great, and the electrical outlets all seemed to be in excellent condition. The locks on the doors (outside from the street and inside to the apartment) were easy to work. Cons: It was fine for 3 of us, but I think it would be pretty crowded if you had the 7-8 people they advertise accommodating. Okay if you were just crashing there, but if you are a family with kids who need some time "at home" on a trip, that would be unworkable. Minor point, but the vinyl floor in the kitchen seemed a bit poorly installed - some lumps that made me wonder what was underneath. We had some trouble with the bath faucet, but the owner said he fixed this after our stay. As I said, we were the first people to stay there.

Response from the owner The apartment was complete. Maybe there were some finishing touches which mean we go the distance to improve on all details. The apartment does offer 2 bedrooms with double bed, and one with 2 single beds that convert into a king-size bed when joined together. And we also offer a large sofa-bed in the living room, which the guest didn't need to use. We also offer guest beds for people wanting separate beds. Very flexible arrangements. We take feedback from our guests very seriously and immediately action to improve consistently. We replace the bath faucet/tap right away, and replaced the kitchen worktop and cooker for new ceramic units in the meanwhile.
