“Not the best but not the worst!!”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2017

The cabin was clean and neat but needed lots of minor maintenance, such as the closets were piled up things so you couldn't put your stuff in the closets and they didn't have any doors on the closets either, do not expect to watch tv because it only plays when it wants in the master bedroom and I recommend that you be sure to take your own hand soap. The floors in the other 2 bedrooms need some work, they screk really bad and if your not careful the boards will pinch your feet because some of the flooring has separated. There was a soap dispenser in the 2nd bathroom and it had a little soap in the dispenser but not enough to be able to pump out and not enough to last for the time we were there.

Response from the manager the wood floors are new. we do not furnish soap. closet doors are not on as that is the way it was built. no room to open any if there were. master br has a new tv. thanks hunters

“Spacious and quiet”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2016

I have never rented a cabin before so I do not have a reference point. I have an extended family visiting us and hotel rooms just did not seem feasible for us. The owner, Jim, was very easy to deal with - answered the phone immediately and explained everything to me how the cabin rental worked. We had a small dog so pet friendly was a big plus. Cabin itself is on a very quiet street. It was a little scary driving at night up the road since it was one way road leading up to the cabin and it was a little narrow. The cabin was very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (I think less that 10-15 minutes drive with no traffic). One thing that sucked (and it really was not a negative towards the cabin itself) was very poor cellular coverage once at the cabin (may be it was just my provider - Tmobile, but, thankfully, the owners provide access to both cable TV and internet so WiFi calling was working as expected for Tmobile). Cabin had no steps (a big plus) and everything inside was provided (linens, plates, silverware, trash bags, roll of paper towels and toilet tissue) - we liked everything about the cabin except one (may be minor) annoyance - the grout between the floor tiles could use some (ok, a lot of) scrubbing. We did not try the hot tub, but it seemed to be very clean and ready. I was ok with pet charge ($25 for the whole stay), but cleaning charge should be incorporated a little differently. We were charged a flat fee of $70 for cleaning and it seems that this fee is the same regardless of the stay length. I would like to see this fee somehow incorporated into the nightly rates themselves - it may be the same price at the end for the customer, but seeing that fee was a little irritating to say at least. Overall, I think we will definitely consider this cabin again upon our return to visit Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Response from the manager thank u for the great review. the cabin has been booked solid since march so redoing the grount lines will have to wait when i get there in late sept. it has to cure before use. the maids we use which are several charges us the same pricie if u stay 2 days or stay 2 wks. we cant control that. its very very difficult to find good maids in gatlinburg. we stay with the ones that cleans it properly. thank u jim and elle, owners
