Very Good

“The 3 beds, 2 bath”

It was a great value, good distance to Waikiki, to shopping. Nice management, whenever I got a question the owner always get back to me soon enough.

“No Central Air”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2014

Let me first say that I rated it as average because for the price we paid it was very close to Waikiki. Despite that price, I wouldn't rent it again or recommend this rental to a friend. Plus to me the cons are very big, but might not be for someone else. The Pros: - This is a clean unit and nicely furnished. - Having access to a washer/dryer was very nice. - The downstairs neighbor is the manager and was very helpful and kind. - It is very close to Waikiki and other tourist attractions. - There are a lot of little restaurants and shopping places nearby. - The big TV in the living room is very nice and I enjoyed having access to Netflix and Amazon Prime (when the wi-fi was working). - The furniture in the living room is very comfortable. - They have snorkels and body boards available to use. - There are plenty of towels for everyone and every purpose. - The neighborhood seems pretty quiet. The Cons: - Make sure you look closely at the pictures of this apartment. In each BEDroom you will see an air conditioning unit. There is not one for the living/dining room area. Even though the place is set up for central A/C, it is not usable. The units they have in the bedrooms are barely sufficient to cool those rooms let alone the living area. I had to crank mine down to 70 just to get to 75 at night. If you stay in the apartment past 10 AM the heat is almost unbearable! Trying to use the oven in that sweltering kitchen was a joke! - The free wi-fi is also a joke. The first 24 hours I had to reboot the router 5 times because the connection kept dropping and it would not reset itself automatically. We also had to reset the connection on every device that used the wi-fi. After that they had someone come out to fix it. The connection would drop several times a day, but I didn't have to reboot the router. It is very irritating if you are trying to watch a movie on Netflix or upload pictures. - The sheets and towels are washed and dried with perfumed products. For anyone with allergies or sensitivities this is horrible. I suffered from a headache and then full on sinus infection while there. My father also had allergy issues and he isn't very susceptible. - It is hard to find and the street you have to turn off of to get to the apartment can be very busy. There aren't any landmarks to find the street. - Despite the garage being listed as an amenity, you don't get to use it. You have to park in front of the unit as close as possible to the steps because the area is very narrow and there are a lot of cars. It looked like there was an assigned space for the unit, but we were told not to use it. - This is a minor irritant, but still kind of gross... we didn't get fresh soap. We had to use the last person's left overs until we could get to a store to buy our own. - When we arrived, we were told that we were not allowed to wear shoes in the unit. That's just nuts to get there after 10 hours or more hours of travelling and being told that we have to leave our shoes in the hall. This was a big problem for me because I have a medical condition that requires me to wear orthopedic shoes all the time to prevent crippling pain in my Achilles heels. - The sheets and pillows are very cheap. The sheets are low quality and scratchy, which is why they have to use dryer sheets. The pillows are cheap foam. This may not matter to you, but I will admit that I'm a bedding snob.
