“Very comfortable, private, and well located apartment in Madrid”
My husband and I rented this apartment for 8 nights over our Christmas vacation and won't hesitate to do so again on a future visit to Madrid. It was comfortable, very quiet yet well located and convenient for walking everywhere, close to public transportation, the kitchen was well-equipped with local shopping right around the corner and larger Dia and Carrefour grocery stores nearby for easy self-catering, the area was not so touristy like on the Gran Via or Sol so we felt a little like locals, and the cost was very reasonable. The queen-size bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were good quality, we liked the bathtub-shower combination instead of just a shower, and the wifi worked great. Hot water was plentiful, the appliances all worked well (oven, cooktop, dishwasher, clothes washer), the full-size refrigerator/freezer was a plus compared to the usual small under the counter units, and the heating system worked fine the few times we needed it. The owner also was very responsive and answered our questions promptly, the agent who met us was very flexible and helpful and arranged transportation for us at the end of our stay. We imagine that the apartment would be comfortable in warmer weather, too, as it overlooks interior courtyards on either side for cross-ventilation. Our only suggestions to the owner would be to add a few things to the kitchen (a whisk, pot holders, another pyrex-type dish for baking in the oven) and have a few more options for a tablecloth/place mats.
Apartment is magnificent and Nuria and crew run it with total professionalism. We have rented many times in Europe and this flat is one of very best in all respects. I would (and will!) recommend it to anyone going to Madrid. Loca is perfect (it is true, if coming in late at night it may look a little scary if you are from suburbs, but that is just because of city graffiti covering gates pulled down over stores at night). Building is super secure so any concerns were immediately left, literally, at the door. For me the major anxiety of foreign flat rental is coordinating the initial pickup but armondo was waiting at door when we arrived. (He also arranged our departing taxi, which worked like a charm.) Bed and other furniture are comfortable, layout and equipment is such that you could actually live there (not just stay a few days), even if you like creature comforts, as do we. Quiet! Clean! Nice decor! Well equipped kitchen! Good lighting! Thoughtful inclusions like toilet paper and olive oil make this feel like it's a flat equipped for a friend, not a client.
“quite charming apartment in best central location”
very close to metro station, walk distance to main sightseeing points, clean house, cozy 2-rooms apartment, full-equipped small kitchen.excellent for 2+1
Appartamento molto confortevole e silenzioso. Ottima la location per girare la città
“Delightful home away from home in Madrid!”
We stayed all of November in this cozy flat on Magdalena, and could not have been more pleased. Initially we were hesitant to rent anything without seeing it first, but Nuria answered every question promptly, which gave me a real sense of security. The reality turned out to be even better than the photos. The flat itself is spotlessly clean, nicely equipped and amazingly quiet. French windows from the bedroom and living room look out over a quiet courtyard, and the whole building is clearly well cared for. Don't be put off by the pictures of the street on Google street view, it's a working class block, but two blocks from the tourists areas and has countless grocery stores, bars and bistros within yards. We would come back with no hesitation- this ideally located little flat provided a wonderful ending to every day we spent in Madrid.
“Convenient location, well equipped, quiet and comfortable”
Although we were late, we were warmly welcomed and given all the information we needed by armando. The apartment was comfortable, very well equipped and wonderfully quiet. The location is very central to all attractions and close to restaurants and food shops. I would certainly recommend it to anyone holidaying in Madrid.
“Comfort and convenience in the center of Madrid”
I thought the place was perfect, we walked pretty much everywhere, and when it rained, there is a subway literally right across the street. The place is cute, comfortable and lovely, and well worth the price. I highly recommend it.
An excellent apartment with everything you could possibly need for a pleasant break in Madrid. Location is very good, on edge of Huertas area close to galleries, and Metro station literally over the road. Good facilities in apartment with fridge, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, DVD player, computer with internet access etc. Sofa bed great for the kids. Try to get a bite at Maceiras tapas restaurant on Calla Jesus - lovely.
“Great central location in Madrid”
This apartment is in a wonderful, central location; yet is quiet and serene, clean and well-kept. It is close to great restaurants and bars, and a short walk from the many major Madrid museums. The bed is comfortable; compact, but complete kitchen. We were very comfortable and happy there. Nuria answers all questions and concerns promptly.
“Quiet, clean central flat in Madrid”
We stayed at the Magdelena flat during the Christmas break in 2011. After spending time with family and friends we decided to have a couple of days in the heart of Madrid during the holiday season alone. This flat had everything we were looking for - location (one short block from Huerta's great food), metro access (the anton Martin station was literally outside your door), heat (between the heater system and the warm blankents you would never have known how cold it was outside) and the flat was as quiet as can be (rare in this area of Madrid). Every home convinience was through of from hair dryers to tea makers to local maps and books. There are great little local grocery shops near by (Nuria provides a map and list of where they are located behind the door) and there is fantastic light inside the flat for being an interior courtyard! This was a great stay that truly felt like we were in our own space!
