“Perfect Residenzia in Rome with great hostess…”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2013

We just returned from our wonderful Italy trip, in Rome we enjoyed our 4-night stay in this nice apartment. It's simple (Ikea-like), nothing extra, but it's clean, comfortable, has all necessary things that needed for easy vacation- WiFi, kitchenette, new renovated bathroom, good bed/ pillows...etc. Most important - central safe location, we walked everywhere! Plus mini supermarket, bus, next door trattoria with delicious food. Easy check-in and check-out at noon time - no problem. A/C was absolutely quiet and with windows closed no noise from the street. Olivia is very helpful and accommodating - answering all emails with any questions before the trip and also helping with advice/ recommendations/map and Rick Steve's guide - Rome 2013! We would recommend this apartment to our friends visiting Rome. Grazie again, Olivia, for your help and hospitality!

“Comfortable home away from home”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Olivia's apartment. Location could not be better. It is in the heart of many shops and restaurants, 1 min walk to supermarket, 10-15 min walk to major historic sites. If you don't want to walk, taxi stand is 1 min from the front door. Taxi is relatively cheap, probably due to proximity of the apt to the attractions. The home is clean and comfortable. Owner has put in effort to make sure everything is in place. A well stocked kitchen, water boiler, toaster, coffee, tea, high quality linens, hair dryer, 3 air conditioning units, 3 TVs, Wifi, nothing was left out. The space is so comfortable that we prefer to dine at home. We enjoyed our evening meals at the large dining table, chatting about our day time adventures, while watching the hustle and bustle outside our windows. Whatever food we fancy, just picked up from downstairs. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because the ceiling is very low. For a tall person (5'11" and up), this apt is not for you. Either you will hit your head in the hallway, or in the shower. For us shorter people, this is a great bargain.

Response from the owner Dear Pam, thank you very much for your kind review! Your family is really nice and it was a pleasure to welcome you. I'm surprised you found te apartment ceiling "very low". It is in the standard for this area of ancient Rome and so it is for the showers that are new and very comfortable. We are an authorized home rental of Rome Municipality. Ceiling must be in the standard parameters. Anyway I'm happy that you spent good time in my apartment and I hope to welcome you in Rome net time! Thank you again Olivia

“Very enjoyable home base , close proximity to much Rome has to o”

We had a great time in Rome. This apartment was just what we needed. The restaurant below is very good, we ate there twice during our 3 day stay. Olivia and her beautiful daughter Katerina met us and shared much information to help us navigate the city and find the best gelato. Great location, could walk to many of the sites. Would love to return.

Response from the owner Thank you suzy! It was a pleasure to welcome you. See you soon. Olivia

“Noisy location but in right place!”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2013

The location of the apartment was perfect. Everything you wanted was near by, from restaurants to gelato to markets, and especially the Piazza Navona. If you want a quiet location it's not for you. It's very noisy outside especially at night. The apartment is cute but ceilings are low hit my head twice, because I forgot to duck, so if you're very tall it wont work. The kitchen was well equipped and staples were provided along with breakfast items, which was nice because we didn't have to go out and buy things we needed as soon as we arrived. Didn't like how there was trash outside on the street not too far from our door. Overall the apartment suited our needs, there were enough linens, blankets, towels and comfortable beds for 7 adults.

Response from the owner Dear Gabriela, thank you very much for you review! I was surprise that you found the apartment noisy. Windows frame are all new and with a special soundproof glass.Very technological. It is important if you have a light sleep, close them. For trash, I'm totally agree with you but, as you have seen the all city is very dirty. Every day I call the office in charge to clean the town....no words about. I hope next time you will find our town better than now. Kind regards Olivia

“what a pleasure!”

My family and I were in Rome the last November and our choice was for a comfortable accommodation in order to leverage on a central location for having all easily reachable. Position is fantastic: in 5 minutes you are in Piazza Navona or you have metro and bus stops to move to your favorite places. Apartment is located however next to bars, restaurants and shops: so all you need is very close to you. Apartment is very nice, with two bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms; that is a great facility for a family. Service is informal and good and the owner is a kind lady, able also to give you the best information for a deep insight of the true Rome to live.

“Ci abbiamo lasciato il cuore”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

“Best New Year ever”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2013

We stayed here for 1 week during the period of New Year. The owner, Olivia, was very nice and very obliging. She helped us planning our stay and gave us many advices how we can pass our time in a useful way. She organized us a Pick-Up service, which was absolutely punctual and very nice. She also organized us a Tour called "Roma di segreta", and we saw churches, which were in the underground. It was very interesting. And the Touristguide spoke german, which was very good for us. The apartment was beautiful and clean and we had enough space for 5 persons. From the apartment you have a nice few on a typical Italian Piazza. In front of the apartment are 2 very nice restaurants, where we went a lot of times. From the apartment you can go everywhere by foot, to the Vatican it takes 10 minutes, to Piazza Venezia 15 minutes,to the Colosseo 20 minutes, Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona where in front of the apartment (you only need 2 minutes to get there.)If you don't like to walk, its also no problem, because the bus stop is also only a few meters away (also a supermarket) I would absolutely recommend this nice apartment =) Thanks to Olivia, who was very nice to us and who made our stay perfect! Janine
