“A holiday of a lifetime”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2014

My wife and myself have now had our second holiday in Coasta Rica, and our second stay with EcoVida properties. We truly can not thank Shannon and Dave enough for their professionalism, and their attention to our needs. They helped find tours for us, recommending companies and guides that ensured our experience was first class. The home we stayed in was beyond clean and comfortabel, the EcoVida staff made sure all our needs were meet and the house, pool and grounds were kept in pristine condition. When we wanted to go shopping, Dave and Shannon ensured we had timely and affordable transportation. On the nights we didn't feel like cooking we were never disappointed with the restaurants they recommended. The ocean is only a 5 minute walk from the property. We have now made Costa Rica, and EcoVida properties our number one holiday destination.Once again thank you Shannon and Dave for all that you do.

Response from the manager Thank you taking the time to leave us a review as it is very much appreciated! We hope you visit again soon!

“The best”

I´m from Costa Rica, and I recomend very much this place. The beach is large so you can have long walks in the beach. Also is near to supermarkets, stores, and other beaches such as Jacó, and Manuel antonio. The house is beautiful, very confortable with it´s own pool given privacy to there guests. The attention for all tha Staff is excellent, always greeting and being very helpful and kind. I hope everyone can visit this woderful place!!!

Response from the manager Thank you Mariel for taking the time to leave us a review as it is very much appreciated! We will see you again soon! Pura vida!

“Perfect balance”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

Bejuco is close to Jaco, San Jose and the famous southern Costa Rican beaches. It´s a pleasant surprise to find such a luxurious, private and comfortable accommodation in an otherwise untouched place ... a memorable experience ! Bejuco está cerca de Jacó, San José y las famosas playas del sur de Costa Rica. Es una muy buena sorpresa encontrarse con un alojamiento tan lujoso, privado y confortable en un lugar tan prístino, una experiencia memorable !

Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Ivan! We hope you and your family come back and see us soon!

“What a great spacious house and property with the perfect sized”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2013

From the first day we arrived to our last day, we enjoyed all aspects of our stay in this wonderful house and the small, but perfect swimming pool for small children, outside. The layout of the house, with full service kitchen for cooking wonderful meals, the plantation wood barbeque off the little patio outside to the comfortable bedrooms with nice bathrooms, couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. Jim and amanda had the Master bedroom and the two children shared the adjacent bedroom. This red bedroom did not have access to the patio and pool area, that was an added safety feature and provided peace of mind for the parents. Trish and my bedroom, the blue room, was at the other end of the house and gave us some added privacy, but also provided us access to the patio and pool area without disturbing the other family members. The swimming pool was a perfect size and depth for small children and we swam every day we were there. When we experienced a problem with a faulty shower hose, it was replaced within a day. The property was well maintained by gardeners that mowed the lawns, trimmed the hedges and cleaned the pool almost daily. The community pool was also a great place to spend some time. We found it to be clean and the multiple pools added interest and diversity to the children's activities there. The property was close to the wonderful black sands of the Pacific Ocean on one of the best beaches in the area. A small grocery store within five minutes walking distance provided most of the necessities, like water, bread, fruit, meat, eggs, icecream and cervesas. Local buses to Jaco and Paritta were easy to catch from the main highway and the day trips were a nice to do some shopping for coffee and souvenirs. All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend the property to families or couples that want to stay in a home versus an all inclusive resort or hotel.

Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Gord, Trish, Jim and Amanda! We hope you all come back and see us again soon!

“Amazing!”

Reviewed 10 May 2012

This place is amazing! From beginning to end, Dave and Shannon were a pleasure to work with. Upon arrival, check-in/out was quick and easy. The house is exactly as the pictures describe it! Having 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms made all our travelers super happy :) The only downside was that it takes about 30 minutes to drive to the Manuel antonio and Jaco but being in a quiet place during vacation was exactly what we were looking for. You simply can't beat this place for the value!! I would recommend this property over and over again! Thanks Dave and Shannon for having us in your home!

Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to post a review and we hope to see you again down here soon!

“Great Vacation Time with my Family!!!”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2012

When I booked this online, I never expected how it really was. I mean, I looked great on the pics, but the place was way better!!! The house was just beautiful, and fully (I mean fully) equipped. Privacy is fantastic as well, the whole property is a private residential, so you never have unexpected/undesired people around. It is also very quiet, which is what I wanted: to rest!!! The beach was also great and was not packed at all, only a few families around. The service that EcoVida offers is 5 Stars!!! Will definitively go back on my next vacation to Costa Rica, and already told all my friends about it.

Response from the manager Gracias Javier! Nos vemos!

“Perfect Vacation Rental”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2011

What a perfect location for a rental home. We were only a 5 min walk to a beautiful quiet beach, 20 min drive to Jaco or a 40 min drive to the national park Manuel antino. The house was spotless and Shannon couldn't have made the entry process and exist process any easier. They have a guide for how to use everything in the house including wifi. The beds were as comfortable as the Marriott. Every bedroom has a bath so no need for the calling who goes first when you're going out. The community has two pools, but you have your own pool to use in this house. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a safe, well maintained house in a prime location.

“Most amazing, relaxing, romantic vacation”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2011

I'm so glad we found this place and so glad that we decided to rent and stay at this beautiful home away from home. We absolutely loved the hospitality of our hosts and could not have had a better time. The house was very clean and very modern with all the amenities. The pool was great, rooms air conditioned, and decor was very nice. The amazing beach is only a short 5 minute walk away and is very quiet and secluded. Playa Bejuco is conveniently located within a short drive from two small towns where you can get everything you need. All of the restaurants that we went to in the area were amazing with great food and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend this house for couples looking for a romantic getaway or for families looking for an amazing family vacation.

“Truly amazing family vacation - will visit again for sure”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2011

We are a family of four with two kids aged 6 and 7. We had heard how great Costa Rica was and decided to check it out. Turned out to be our best vacation ever. The kids didn't want to come back home and said that they never want to go back to Mexico, they want to keep going back to Costa Rica. We had such a relaxing time and had so many amazing family moments during our stay. The house was amazing, clean, comfortable, and very well decorated. It lacked nothing and had all the comforts of home and more. The pool seemed a bit small in the pictures but was it's bigger than it looks and was perfect for splashing around and having a blast with the kids. The community is very quiet and very relaxing and the community pools were awesome. The highlight of the trip was all of the wildlife and the wonderful beach that was only a 5 minute walk down the road. The edge of the community has a fence and on the other side is a little river. We saw crocs in the river, monkey's in the trees, and a flock of beautiful scarlet macaw's that were hanging around in the area. We will definitely be visiting again.
