“Difficult to find even with taxi”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

The visit began with a 15 to 20 minute delay in our arranged pick up. While others were being greeted with signs, we were searching for our driver. The driver mentioned that an email regarding the accommodations had been sent. I had not received this and told him so. The driver did not supply this pertinent information that contained in Greek the address of the apartment and how to get there. This would have saved us the unpleasant experience of being driven around for 30 minutes by an angry cab driver who could not locate the address. It turned out that he would be the first of many who had difficulty locating the address. The cabbie went into a tirade in Greek. We convinced him to take us back to the restaurant where he picked us up. By this time, the restaurant was closed. He left us and we started walking the deserted street. Fortunately, we saw a police car and flagged it down. The officers were very understanding and volunteered to take us home. I will say that I tried to contact George by email during this incident but my connection kept being disconnected. It was not until the next day that I received his message of him trying to reach me. All of this could have been avoided by simply emailing us the information needed before we left town; preferably a week in advance. The apartment was lovely but there were some issues. Our room was not facing a quiet residential street but rather a busy three lane one way highway that motorcycles and cars zoomed and raced down all night long. To hail a cab we had to navigate these three lanes so that was always a bit of unneeded excitement. The living area was comfortable but there were missing floor boards covered by a rug that could cause one to trip. Insufficient lighting in the master bedroom and no outlet in the bathroom. The driver who delivered us to the airport was gracious and accommodating. I only mention the above as these are issues that can be easily remedied. Still waiting for receipt from cash payment.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views. Furnished to very high standards. Would recommend restaurant Minh Minh 20 mins walk away.

“Great rental”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2013

We just had the pleasure of staying at this lovely rental. George was gret to work with and he and his partners were so great about picking us up and dropping us off at the airport (multiple times). We enjoyed the apartment and the location very much. The furnishings were comfortable and the balconies/view were really lovely. It was kind of a walk to the acropolis/Plaka areas, but it really wasn't too bad at all, and there is an amazing bakery just a couple blocks away that you must check out if you stay here. We would definitely stay again if ever in athens. Thank you George!

“Beautiful apartment, Convenient Location”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2013

George is an excellent host. He is very hospitable and provides all the help that we need without us ever having to ask for it. Checking in and out is very simple and fuss-free: Someone will meet you at the apartment to pass you the key and give you a tour of the apartment, then again someone will meet you at the apartment when you check-out. George responds quickly to mails and calls and is always there to provide assistance, including giving directions to the taxi-driver, restaurant reccommendations and organising day-trips from athens. My husband and George had such a good chat on the way to the airport! The apartment is very spacious, with high-end and luxurious facilities and decorations installed at every corner. Everything that one needs is provided for - fully equipped kitchen with oil, spices and salt - huge wardrobes with more pillows, linens, blankets and towels - plenty of balconies to watch out of (the main one has a stunning view of the acropolis!) - there's even some fitness equipment (Yoga mat, step, small weights) located in the second bedroom. There is a comprehensive guidebook on the kitchen counter that explains all the facilities in the house and more. There is a huge aB supermarket located less than 10-minutes-walk away, and a small convenience store and bakery located even nearer. The walk to the acropolis area is a little longer, possibly 20 minutes upwards or so, but it is always nice to walk back to the apartment after a meal. The best thing about the apartment is definitely the feel that one is at home. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax after spending days in the smaller hotel rooms, and before one needs to return home.

“Fantastic apartment!”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2013

We stayed here for a week in March and had a great experience. The apartment is very big, modern and clean, with a well appointed kitchen. There are tons of balconies to lounge on and the view of the the acropolis is awesome, especially at night. Having 2 bathrooms was a big positive, especially with 4 girls, and the free Wifi was one of the best perks, so helpful. It was a 10 min easy walk to the acropolis and the Plaka. George is so helpful and was available to answer questions for us at any time. His transfers to and from the airport are very reasonably priced. The price was great, especially compared to staying in a hotel for a week. I would highly recommend choosing this apartment as a spacious, relaxed home base for exploring athens.

“A perfect athens experience”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2013

First of all, George is a wonderful guy.He picked us up at the airport, took us to the grocery store and helped us shop (plus he had items at the apartment already for breakfast and snacks) and then helped us cart our bags and groceries up to the apartment. He gave us a tour and showed us how to use everything, and as it is a very modern apartment that was important! It is just as pictured. The apartment is gorgeous and the view of the acropolis/Parthenon is amazing from the deck. It's within a short walk to the grocery store and several shops and bakeries. Right across the street is the oldest cemetery in athens, and there are lots of trees there, making it a very nice spot in a city with very little green space. I highly recommend this property! We loved our week there over new years. We even got to watch the fireworks from the roof, which also has a great view of the acropolis and the city. Thank you George, for making our stay so great, and for ordering the pizza for us on new years day!!!

“Very good money for value”

Renting this flat, you will feel like at home ... It is a really beautiful, comfortable, well decorated flat with all the necessary equipments (TV, DVD player, hifi system, washing machine, dishwasher, flatiron ...) Beautiful view on the acropolis from the main terrace The only negative point : the noise but athens is a very noisy town We had a very pleasant stay and would warmly recommend this location George, the Manager who welcome us was very kind and remained at our disposal during all our stay To conclude, we can say that we had what it was described on the web site

“Super Modern and makes you feel right at home.”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2012

Nina'a athenian Loft was a super terrific place to stay in athens. It's conveniently located within walking distance to all the major sightseeing locations and yet removed enough from the touristy areas that you feel like an athens local. The loft itself is right out of a magazine, it's chic and modern but yet still homey. George, our host, picked us up at the bus station and was very helpful with information and whatever we needed. The view of the acropolis from the balcony is as good as the picture posted and we loved living here for a week - thank you all so much. Just one note: most cab drivers were not familiar with the address so print out a map of the area so you can show them where you are. Oh and a must is the amazing whirlpool bath with a built in radio and heater - perfect after a long day of touring and feasting on some of the best Greek food around. The fridge was stocked with supplies for breakfast and there was all kinds of spices and pots and pans which made it easy to heat up leftovers and cook in general.
