“Dream location for a dream vacation!”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2010

We stayed here in February 2010, and had the most fantastic time - even during the rainiest winter Malaga has ever had! The house is amazing - it's huge and warm and really beautiful - full of character and original features. The bedrooms are really large, with woodbeam ceilings, and the bathrooms are surprisingly luxurious. The kids had a blast exploring the house, and we all thought the olive mill was incredible! It was like a museum - and it would be perfect for parties. In the evenings that we stayed in, we lit the wood burning stoves, cooked dinner (so much fun grilling over an open fire!) and either all gathered round the huge kitchen table or sat around the pot-bellied stove on the patio with the most breath-taking view of the lights of Malaga in the distance. The kids played ping pong and soccer outside and just enjoyed running around the beautiful grounds - the estate even has a stream running through it and a waterfall! Some nights we all watched tv or dvd's or played board games in the cosy sitting room. Malaga is just a short drive away: we went into town most days, and some of the evenings. There are loads of great places to have drinks and dinner (the bar Pimpi is a must!) and the Picasso museum is terrific. It took us just over an hour to get to Granada and on another day we went to antequera and El Torcal where the adults had as much fun as the kids climbing around on amazing rock formations. Next time we'll definitely visit Cordoba. This was a truly wonderful trip, and Las adelfas was the perfect accommodation: spacious and full of charm, great location, well-maintained, and the owner was really friendly and helpful as we arranged our stay. Absolutely recommend Las adelfas and absolutely will book again!!!

“Great place to stay and see andalusia”

The photos do not do this charming old house justice.the house has many lovely features and is a comfortable, peaceful retreat set in a private valley with log burning stove and open fires.Ideal in the winter months. We were able to reach Malaga in 10 mins and took trips to Granada,Cordoba and Seville both the owner and the local agent were very helpful and friendly and provided us with wine and basics for our arrival.
