Description

When we first saw this two-level home with its three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, we were immediately attracted by the wonderful location and features that make it an ideal vacation spot:

- End unit with wooded lots on the side and back for privacy and quiet,

- Faces a pond with tadpoles and frogs for the young ones to explore,

- Fountain in the pond provides a pleasant sound and sight as you leave the house,

- Last unit in the courtyard so no traffic at this site.

Once we got inside the house, we were further impressed by the quality standards and many features including:

- Welcoming entry with high vaulted ceilings,

- Gas fireplace, zoned cooling and heating for a comfortable visit,

- Expansive windows on the side facing the woods,

- Sun room with a large, fenced deck off the back,

- Gas grill hook-up on the deck (and we have the grill),

- Three bedrooms with full baths off both of the back bedrooms (upstairs and downstairs),

- Ceiling fans in every room

- Convenient nook upstairs between the bedrooms for a TV and wrap-around sofa (with hide-away bed),

- Upstairs loft provides additional sitting area,

- Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator (with ice maker and filtered water dispenser), stove, and lots of storage along with a large coffee maker, toaster oven, and a variety of pots, pans, utensils, glasses, mugs, silverware and glasses,

- Half bath near the front door and garage,

- Stacking full-sized washer and dryer.

We've since been busy making improvements and adding those additional touches for a pleasant stay:

- TV's with DVD/VCR players and a selection of tapes on both levels (downstairs TV is on a cart to allow breakfast in bed or watching around the sitting areas),

- Queen beds in both master bedrooms,

- Twin beds with a trundle bed in the front bedroom sleeps 3,

- Labeled wall light switches to make it easy to get the lights and fans on,

- Safety items like child-proofed sockets, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detector,

- Games, books and puzzles for all ages,

- Coordinated decorating in each room,

- Dining room table expands to accommodate visitors easily,

- Added a fence to the back deck along with the large picnic table,

- Assortment of bikes for trips to the beach (an easy ride)

The Waterside community provides a wonderful location to Bethany Beach and surrounding areas with:

- Convenient access to the beach (less than 1.5 miles bike/walk or 2 mi drive) and main thoroughfares,

- Community outdoor pool,

- Safe walking with side walk and no through traffic,

- Access to nearby boat launch that leads to the ocean.

Further on, Bethany Beach, Rehoboth and Ocean City have no end of shopping, outlet stores, entertainment, restaurants, golf courses, miniature golfing, convention center, amusement rides, candy shops, gift stores, movie theaters and all the necessary places for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation.
