LIVING THE EXPERIENCE

Fantastic 159 m2 penthouse with 3 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 6 people. Spacious, bright and with a spectacular terrace with unobstructed views of Madrid, where you can sunbathe or watch the sunset while sipping on a delicious local wine. With unique design, cozy, and with all the comforts from home: air conditioning, heating, full kitchen, plasma TV 42 ', DVD, stereo, Nintendo Wii game console + Wii Sports and full integration with new technologies: high-speed Internet, Wi Fi, Apple TV.

The apartment has also a mini-gym equipment, a fitness mat for yoga or pilates and some exercise videos for you to keep in shape during your vacation or business trip.

For its exceptional location, it is very family-friendly and very appropriate for couples, fine cuisine lovers, art and history lovers, for night adventurers, students, or as a base camp for business.

It is an alternative with advantages over a traditional hotel.

LIKE AT HOME

The interior design has been done by a famous decorator, combining different furniture items from big-name designers such as Le Corbusier and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, wonderful painted Italian papers and many more items achieving international and cosmopolitan style while welcoming and chic.

In the reception hall there are two benches of Le Corbusier´s Barcelona model, and two large mirrors with antique elegant silver finish frames.

Entering the large main hall, we have four large spaces all bathed by natural light that filters through the two large windows overlooking the outdoor terrace.

A first zone is "FAMILY LIVING" which is highlighted by a large 6 seater sofa Barcelona model of Le Corbusier, with plasma TV 42 inches, DVD, Nintendo Wii and Apple TV.

The area "YOU", where you can read a book or relax after a busy day, lying in the "Chaise Lounge" also from the prestigious designer Le Corbusier.

The third zone, "WORK AREA", with a very functional desk, transparent glass table, a chair, a desk lamp and a shelf where you can organize your work while being constantly connected to the high-speed Internet through Wi-Fi.

The fourth area is the "Dining AREA" designed into circular shape surrounding the dining table, creating an intimate and exclusive atmosphere. The dining area is decorated with exquisite hand painted Italian paper of high quality and a designer lamp.

RESTING

The first room has also a Le Corbusier chair Barcelona model, a double bed, two bedside tables and a headboard that combines two large antique metal decorations elements, which give a special character to the stay with this combination of classic and modern elements. The room has a large window that looks out onto the terrace.

The second bedroom, with double bed, has two bedside tables with two reading lamps. The room is very spacious with lots of natural light.

The third room is perfect for children, where we find a bunk bed, a wardrobe and a private bathroom. The room has plenty of natural light, too.

TASTE

A small corridor gives way to a fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances from SIEMENS like a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven and a dishwasher. It also has a toaster, a kettle and other small appliances that will make your stay more comfortable. The kitchen has lots of natural light and has a high round table with two stools, perfect for a quick breakfast for two, while the rest of the family is preparing for leaving to the city. Also the entire family can have breakfast together in the main dining table of the living room or on the table on the terrace.

MADRID´S SUN AT HOME

The large outdoor 22 sqm terrace has a round table and 4 chairs, to organize small dinner, lunch or breakfast. The terrace has outdoor teak floor. It is very spacious and has privacy because there are no neighbors. Also, for the summer we have 2 sunbeds for guests to sunbathe or lie down to read quietly watching the spectacular sunsets of Madrid.

TECHNOLOGY

The apartment is equipped with the latest technology to make your stay more rewarding and intense: high-speed ADSL, Wi-Fi, Apple TV and an Apple Wireless Keyboard to enjoy the best programs and movies without leaving the apartment, or listen to your music and look at your pictures on the TV directly from your iPhone or iPad.

STAY FIT

A mini-gym set with several elements like a mat for yoga, pilates or fitness and exercise videos so you do not stop doing sports during your stay in Madrid.

“Honest”

This is an honest review of the apartment. Third bedroom is small and suitable for children only. Second bathroom is minuscule and shower cannot be used by an adult. Second bedroom has only a bed and bedside tables - no other furniture to store clothes or a mirror for hair or make up. Kitchen cabinets at upper level have broken hinges and have to be held up by one hand while obtaining cabinet contents with the other. Air-conditioning is provided in second and third bedrooms by portable units which need to be vented from the windows thus compromising the effect. We were unable to find the safe that is offered. While we were there we had the following issues: The shower leaked. The shower has to be held in one hand - there is nowhere for it to be suspended. Rugs were curled up and dangerous to walk on. Bedlinen, net curtains and towels had holes in and were threadbare. The apartment was not clean when we arrived. The floors were un-vacuumed, the bathroom contained a thick layer of dust and fluff on skirting boards and other peoples hair in the shower. There was an age cobweb above the bathroom door. I contacted the agents to insist the apartment be recleaned the next day which duly happened but to an unacceptable standard, the cobwebs remained as did the torn bedlinen. The apartment is ideally located for visiting Madrid and the facilities listed are factually correct but the truth is a bit stretched. My party do not consider an unclean apartment with broken fixings, threadbare household linen and nowhere to accommodate your clothes and grooming requirements to be a luxurious experience. But each to their own - if you like cobwebs and other peoples detritus feel free to enjoy yourself. If, like us, you decide the experience was not as you had hoped don't expect too much in the way of help from Trip Advisor customer services (Holiday Lettings are are part of Trip Advisor). They insist that you take up the matter with the owners who have already been paid and therefore have absolutely no incentive to recompense you in any way. I have emailed Roberto after being rejected by Trip Advisor who has not responded to my email/ Nevertheless, the apartment could fit its 'luxury' tag with only a bit more care and attention, it is a shame that it does not.
