“Perfect apartment in perfect location !”
We stayed 6 days in this lovely and cosy flat. Everything was just perfect ! The flat is very comfortable (especially the beds !), there is everything to cook… It is perfectly placed : everything can be done by walk. The metro is close (La Latina or Sol). There are two supermarkets where to buy foods close to the flat… and a big market close too (St Miguel). Carmen is very kind, helpful and above all reactive ! Just perfect !
“Top accomodation in the heart of Madrid”
My wife and I staied 2 weeks in this excellent apartment and we did not regret it ! The location is fantastic, just a couple of minutes walk from plaza Mayor, Latina, the Royal palace, etc. It's a historic building, but fully and nicely refurbished, very well equipped, cleaned and maintained very professionaly, the owners were extremely supportive and acted promptly at any request. The air conditioning was a bonus, the bed was excellent, we would have prefered a real oven rather than a grill/microwave, but this just because we had special needs to heat up gluten-free bread for breakfast. Only a minor issue with the Internet connection, that the owner promised to fix as soon as possible. Overall, we strongly recommend this apartment.
“Great experience, highly recommended.”
Stayed here as a couple for a few nights earlier in the year, can't recommend highly enough. Apartment was well appointed, and excellently located in an historical part of town, walking distance to Puerto del Sol, Plaza Mayor, etc. Special thanks to Carmen, who went out of her way to be helpful - will be back.
“Cozy studio in perfect location”
Perfect little studio very well situated. Not far from different areas of Madrid (Sol, historic area, etc). Carmen and Manuel are nice hosts and they take very good care of their appartment. As solo traveller, I found it was cozy for one (would be cozy for 2 as well), well situated and safe.
“Attractive attic in good location.”
Enjoyed very much our few days stay in Carmen's attic on the third floor. Lovely old building in a convenient location not far from Plaza Mayor and La Latina markets if you are staying over a Sunday. Carmen helpful and friendly and will assist you with explaining sites to see. Attic is clean and has tv with English channels, hot plate, microwave, kettle, air con and more. Only 10 minutes walk from metro station. Ceiling is a bit low in spots but get used to it. Would highly recommend.
My family and I stayed at The attic apartment In March had had a wonderful experience. The location is terrific, close to Plaza Mayor, transportation and loads of restaurants/tapas bars including Casa Botin. Manuel and Carmen were incredibly helpful with many hints on sightseeing, restaurants etc., very nice couple. Both my sons are over 6 feet tall and had no problem with the sloping ceiling although you do have to be a bit careful bumping your head in the bathroom as it is a bit small. Our favorite part is the history of the building. You can stay at a Hilton just about anywhere but there is only one attic apartment!
“Conveniently located and very comfortable”
Carmen and Manuel were very considerate and helpful hosts, meeting us late at night for our arrival and early on the morning of our departure so we could get more time in one last museum. They couldn't have been more accommodating. The apartment itself was in a beautiful building in the old part of the city, close to many points of interest, but inside, the apartment was very contemporary and comfortable. We enjoyed the apartment, the museums, architecture, parks and people of Madrid and anticipate returning again, to the same apartment, soon!
“Simple, well-appointed, and well-located apartment.”
Carmen was an accommodating and gracious host from the first point of contact. We enjoyed being in this historic building and district, conveniently located by foot to nearly everything we wanted to do, and easily accessible for a mid day siesta if needed. The apartment is small and cozy, basically one room. But it had everything we needed for making breakfast in the morning, doing our laundry, and sleeping well. The bed is very comfortable. There is one challenge: because this is an attic apartment in a 400 year old building, the ceilings are low and slant downward. This was not a problem for me (I am 5'3") but was a bit of an issue, especially in the bathroom, for my husband who is 6'.
“Fantastic location, well-equipped fun apartment”
The location was fantastic - everywhere was in easy walking distance and the area was vibrant with lots of night life, but the apartment itself was very quiet and peaceful. It was quite comfortable, very clean, and well-equipped - the hosts clearly put in a lot of thought into what guests would need. The heating system/air conditioning ensured it was toasty and warm in January. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only downsides were the sloping roof which we bumped into a couple of times and means you have to stoop in half the flat. Also, you have to walk up lots of stairs to get to the top floor, which was fine for us but might be a problem for some. The sofa was not as comfortable as it might have been, and it is a small studio, but this is fine for a week's stay for a sightseeing couple. All in all, a great little base from which to explore a vibrant city.
“Great location, helpful owner and nice flat.”
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in the old part of Madrid, but bear in mind that there are three flights of stairs and no elevator. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with by email. The flat was well equipped and very clean, and the location is excellent.
