Weston Lodge - a stylish luxury holiday apartment

Weston Lodge is a grand Georgian building set in its own grounds.

With its stylish decor this romantic and quirky apartment will wow and cosset you. You will have an allocated parking space, extensive sunny gardens and a little bit of peace and quiet.

Whether your stay is for family, friends or a romantic weekend get away, you could not ask for a more delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bath city centre, and yet you are within seconds of quiet countryside walks which connect to the Cotswold Way.

It is 5 mins easy drive to the central car parks or frequent buses run as often as every 15 mins from 200m away to the centre & station. A taxi approx. £8, or it's a pleasant 2 mile walk in 30 mins or so, via the famous Royal Crescent and Circus.

Weston Lodge is close to many amenities, from a Michelin starred restaurant and others, to shops, cafes, a bakery, supermarkets and pubs, and is just two miles from the Roman Baths.

We hope that everything you require will be provided, from linen and towels to wide screen TV, DVD, radio, WiFi broadband, books and magazines, DVD's and a few CD's to browse.

The apartment is on the second (top) floor and sleeps 4 + 1 in a fold up bed that can be placed in the master bedroom or lounge.

Bath was a Roman city, for 400 years. Attracted by the natural features of the area, and "Rome" like climate, they only left when their Empire weakened.

Bath is also the birthplace of the once modern Georgian style of architecture, which utilised many innovative techniques and of course the lovely warm golden local stone. Amazing buildings can be found around every corner of this World Heritage City.

Culture abounds, in all its forms and then there are the attractions of Somerset, Wiltshire and nearby (and easy to get to) Bristol.

Today, Bath is a small, but cosmopolitan, vibrant and lovely city. Great restaurants, museums, galleries, shops, theatre, concerts, festivals, rugby, cricket, the Thermae Spa baths, hot springs, walks or cycle rides along the canal or river, balloon rides; always something going on, and a wonderful dry and sunny climate make this lovely city a great holiday destination.

The Priory, Bath's only Michelin starred restaurant, is a 15 min walk away, with pubs and other restaurants, small Tesco supermarket, shops and take-aways, main local hospital etc., all nearer still ( a 5 min walk) in Weston village.

It's an easy walk / bus/taxi or car trip into the hustle and bustle of Bath's busy central areas. And you get the benefit of views over fields and peace and quiet at the end of your day

Frequent buses (No 14 and others) stop within 200 yards that connect with the city centre every 15 mins or so. A family day pass is good value at £8.40

Access is by key-safe so that you may arrive at a time that suits you without having the hassle of phoning ahead, or having to stick to a certain time.

Normally guests may arrive after 3pm and are requested to depart by 11am, but other times may be possible on request, depending on other bookings.

“Superb, luxery stay at a fraction of the cost”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2011

I was looking for a weekend stay within the area for a wedding and luckily stumbled across Weston Lodge. An extremely smooth booking process and an outstanding apartment with quality furnishings, I would highly recommended a stay here if you are visiting the area and am already planning my next break here.

“Wonderful experience”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2011

This was our first time renting on vacation instead of staying in a hotel. This apartment was very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet. We saved a lot of money staying in the rental instead of hotels and by having a kitchen available. The manager went above and beyond to see that everything went well for us and was very easy and pleasent to work with. We had a fabulous time and would, and have, recommended vacation rentals and this one in particular.

“nice apartment”

would return if in area, - apartment very chilly at first, fine once warm.

Response from the owner Apologies for the heating being set so low, but you did take the apartment as a very late booking (with only 3 hours notice) in the middle of a very cold spell !

“A quiet location for a short break near Bath City Centre”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2010

We found this apartment perfect for a short break during the half term break. The children were very happy in the twin bedroom and we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the master bedroom. This was an ideal location for getting into central Bath (we used taxis) for shopping, eating and sightseeing. There is plenty in Bath to keep the family occupied and interested.

“Unexpected luxuriousness”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2010

We booked at short notice, finding the only 3 nights available in august which suited our schedule perfectly. Jon was very helpful with arranging the booking. The instructions were good, and we got the right parking space, door combinations etc and got in. The pictures on the website don't really do this place justice; the lounge was great but the bedroom in the extension and connecting bathroom were pretty impressive. Our 3-year old loved the amount of space and different areas to explore. The local area is very quiet and relaxed, lovely cottage opposite with waterfall. Once you get used to the one-way system through Bath it's pretty central for exploring much of Somerset. Only drawback for us was the flat is on the top floor; my wife is heavily pregnant and struggled to get up the stairs. Would definitely stay again though, after giving birth of course. We found the map of Bath in the car when we got home so had to post it back, hope we didn't cause too much inconvenience. Highly recommended.

“Bath Experience.”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2010

Accomodation was clean and comfortable, great location for our sightseeing plans. Dissapointed that there was no clothes dryer as it made washing a problem and we had to waste valuable time at the local launderette. Also a shower curtain in the ensuite would have been handy.

Response from the owner Thanks for the feedback Peter. There is a clothes drying rack supplied and I assume that Peter wanted a shower curtain over the bath, which would not be practical due to the sloping ceiling over the bath. The other en-suite has a shower enclosure.Oct 2010. And we have now installed a tumble dryer. Jan 2011.
