“Great Time - Great Value”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2011

My wife and I spent 11 lovely days in Saba, with 9 days at Flamboyant Cottage. The cottage was perfect for us. The setting is wonderful - with fabulous views that are a constant delight. Flamboyant is a reasonable walk into town (Windwardside) and the steep access drive is just enough to provide a little stimulation. We thought that the cottage was the prettiest on the island; the photographs are accurate, but do not really do it justice. The cottage is really commodious for two people and would be comfortable for two couples and or a couple and two children. The cottage and pool are well maintained and in very good condition. The local managers - Trish and Michael - are very helpful and a font of information for Saba. Saba is surely wonderful for people who seek beauty, views and quiet - with spectacular diving on the side. If that is what you want, it would be difficult to imagine a nicer place than Flamboyant cottage to stay while enjoying Saba.

“Peace and Serenity in Saba”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2011

We spent four wonderful days in Flamboyant Cottage. It's the perfect place to completely unwind and recharge your batteries. With very few exceptions, we felt like the only people around, especially at night when we were serenaded by tree frogs. Saba is a beautiful island, and the view from Flamboyant Cottage is breathtaking. I never tired of looking out over the neighboring islands. In fact, I couldn't wait to wake up in the morning just to have another look. We enjoyed hiking every day. By our second day we felt like locals as we passed the same friendly people and places on our walk. The cottage is well stocked, so it's easy to prepare meals if you simply want to relax at home. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the cottage was well maintained. The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip after a hike. We look forward to a return visit.

“Beautiful cottage in a lovely place”

I have stayed at Flamboyant several times now. It is a wonderful cottage, with all the amenities, including wireless, swimming pool, and the most gorgeous view from the porch and eating area. It is in a very quiet area and really allows me to unwind. I thoroughly recommend it. My only criticism is with the fees. Though it is advertised that the cottage houses 4 people, beware that there is a substantial added fee per person, per day if you have more than 2 people. The flat rate for two people is reasonable,a bit on the high side, but in my opinion worth it. However, I don't believe the owners incur any extra expenses in having 4 people and I question the surcharge.

“great cottage”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2011

We stayed two weeks at this cute, comfortable cottage which is in a quiet, private location. There were wonderful views of the sea and Statia from the balcony, gazebo and the pool area which made for a very relaxing, tranquil getaway. The cottage is well-equipped from the kitchen to a full bookcase. The attentive property managers are close by if there are any questions or needs. It is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the town of Windwardside where it is fun to explore the bead shop, lace shops, Museum, art gallery and other local shops. We ate at the several restaurants in town as well as picked up food at the grocery stores. A great place to stay whether one is looking for a peaceful getaway, walking/hiking or diving.

“Paradise”

Our family of four spent 5 days at the Flamboyant Cottage and we fell in love with the cottage. The cottage was very comfortable, spacious and clean. It was very peaceful, relaxing and the view was breathtaking. The location was within walking distance to different restaurants, gift shops, groceries and church. Our family had such a good time and fond memories. We can't wait to go back and stay longer at the Flamboyant Cottage !!!

“Cute as a button!!!”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2011

We've stayed in 20+ cottages over the years and Flamboyant cottage was truly the closet to the descriptions on the website. Clean, well-maintained, welcoming, well-equipped and absolutely the only cottage I ever dreamed of returning to. We were delighted to find staples in the fridge, super-comfy beds and spotless bathrooms. What was the best was the great big hug I got from Trisha who over-sees the place for Sherry and Larry. We were there for the hiking so the hike to town was all part of the experience. Although we didn't use the pool (pretty chilly the week we were there), it was also spotless. Sherry and Larry were both very forthcoming with info on the island via email. Frankly, we couldn't be happier. Feel free to contact us for more info and yes, it will all be positive!
