“Great Apartment, Ideally Located”

Reviewed 13 May 2014

We had a fantastic stay in this ideally located apartment. Giacomo was very friendly, met us at a time that suited us and recommended places to visit/eat during our stay which was helpful! The apartment itself was great- lots of space, very light and clean, and had everything we needed for our stay! The balcony was fairly spacious and got a good amount of sun both in the morning and late afternoon - perfect to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening! The bedroom was spacious, the bed incredibly comfy, and there was lots of storage (even a safe to keep personal belongings). The only down side (and this is very minor) was that the wifi did not have a very good connection in the main living space. We did find it worked a lot better in the bedroom but it would have been nice to be able to browse the web whilst downstairs or on the balcony. That aside, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this apartment to others, and hope to return ourselves very soon!

“Great Place, Great Location, Lots of Room”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2013

We stayed here end of November, 2013. While the weather was mostly cold and rainy, but the apartment was very warm and comfy, a great place to come home to after walking around to all the nearby ancient and major historical sites. Giagomo was very helpful, responsive and went above and beyond to assist us while we were in Rome. The apartment is hard to beat: kitchen has every kind of utensil you could possibly need, there is a good sized dining room table that can double as a place to setup your laptop and documents to plan out your adventures. There's plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack clothes, and the balcony right off the kitchen is a neat place to sit and have coffee and enjoy the scene. Tv has many channels (History, Discovery, Nat Geo, etc) in English with the "Sky TV" subscription (just use the menu, language (yellow button), set it to "Original" to get English). We split our stay in Rome, traveled elsewhere for a few days then came back, we took a different apartment when we returned which was not nearly as nice, Giacomo's apartment was far better, I recommend getting this place if you can.

“When in Rome...”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

Do as the Romans do! What a lovely way to spend time in Rome. Staying in a wonderful apartment in a fabulous, centrally located neighborhood beats hotel living, hands down. And what an apartment! Giacomo is a wonderful host. The apartment is charming and immaculately kept with all the conveniences of home...in fact, it really felt like our home for the few days we spent there. There is a well stocked kitchen, flat screen TV and Wifi. There is even a small terrace with a table and chairs, from which you can enjoy a beverage while viewing the romantic roof-tops of Rome.

“Just as described and a very helpful owner”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

We had a lovely stay in Rome and the apartment was perfect in location and was exactly as described. The location is wonderful - 250 metres from Palazzo Venezia (the 'centre' of Rome) - means you can wander around with a very little bag and just pop back if you need anything. The owner, Giacomo, was very helpful and met us at a time that suited us. He showed us all we needed to know about the apartment and gave us a few pointers for local restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the lavatory while small was clean and even had a built in hairdryer. Highly recommend this apartment over a hotel.

“Wonderful apartment and location”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2013

Not only did I love the apartment, I can't thank you enough for all your help Giacomo. From the moment you emailed to alert me that trains were going on strike before my arrival (and helping me with a solution), to checking me in late in the evening when I subsequently arrived a day earlier than we had planned, calling to make sure a restaurant kept their kitchen open for me near the Pantheon, and letting me know about the cooking class nearby and then arranging the ride to the airport for me - you were always helpful, attentive and available. The apartment was perfect and comfortable and quiet and in an excellent location. It was a nice touch to have some items in the kitchen already (salt, sugar, spices, dishsoap, etc.). It saved me time and money for my short stay, not having to run around for the basics. Also, the map for all the amenities nearby was very helpful to find groceries and the chemist, etc. I plan to stay again on my next visit and would like to thank you again for everything. Some things other guest might appreciate - very comfortable full mattress in master bedroom (not two twins pushed together), plenty of hot water and good water pressure, good storage/cupboards for clothes and suitcases, plenty of privacy between the two areas if others are sleeping in the living room.

“Wonderfully comfortable apartment in prime location”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2013

This apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. There are nice views over the roof tops of old Rome and a small south facing balcony. The apartment is within walking distance of all the main attractions of Rome. Giacomo, the owner, met us on check-in and was very helpful in getting us oriented.

“A real taste of Italy in the perfect location.”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2013

Our five day holiday, which was a 40th wedding anniversary present from our family, was our first visit to Rome. On arrival at the apartment, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Giacomo, who showed us around and gave us all the information we needed about the apartment and surrounding area. He even booked us a restaurant for that evening. We loved the quirkiness of the apartment; the split level, the little porthole windows, the lovely views of neighbouring rooftops, breakfast on the small balcony plus the small personal touches in the kitchen. It really is in the perfect location from a tourist viewpoint. Within walking distance of the Colosseum and the Pantheum and short bus rides away from the Vatican and other places of interest including some great restaurants. When we come back to Rome, which we plan to do, we would definitely try to stay in the Polluce apartment again.

“A super place to stay...”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2013

This comfortable, duplex apartment, housed in the attic of an old palace, is very central and convenient for Rome's major sites. Most are within walking distance and if not, there are many bus routes to get you around. There is a small supermarket round the corner, if you want to self-cater, and a daily market within a 10min. walk. Many restaurants are close-by too which all add up to a super place to stay. The actual apartment is delightful, abounding in personality.

“Wonderful family stay in centre of Rome”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2013

The apartment was perfect in every way. All mod cons and with everything thought of. Staying in the best part of Rome minutes from Pantheon and 15 from the Colosseum. Our kids loved it and because we were so central we saw all of historic Rome on foot. There is even a balcony to sit and have breakfast in the sun. Thanks for a great weekend in our favourite city.
