“Loved Passage du Marais”
We loved the location and the amenities. Thank you for the wine, chocolate, coffee and sugar. Thank you for the detailed folder with area directions and appliance information. Thank you for the free Wifi and telephone calls. Sarah was a delightful greeter and full of information. We appreciate the personal service
Response from the manager Thank you. We achieved our goal. We hope to see you back soon.
“Cobblestone Paris-Le Passage de Marais”
Lauren gave us a fabulous introduction to the hotel and to getting around the city. Besides the warm welcome, the apartment was very comfortable and in a great location. It was central, but quiet and peaceful.
We just returned from a week's stay at Cobblestone Rentals' charming "Le Passage du Marais" and it was fabulous! The apartment is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed to live like a Parisian for the week. We ate breakfast in the apartment every morning, usually picking up croissants from the boulangerie around the corner and made good use of the coffee pot and the tea pot provided. We enjoyed shopping for delicious fresh foods on nearby Rue Montorgueil - French strawberries at the fruit stand, cheese from the from the fromagerie, a roasted chicken from the boucherie, and of course more wine and bread. The natural foods grocery around the corner also provided other staples like cream for the coffee and butter. We found it very easy to get around the city from this location too. We used two of the nearby metro stops as our primary modes of transportation, and took taxis back the few evenings that we stayed out late. We took advantage of Cobblestone's concierge services - booking both our airport transportation and our skip-the-line Eiffel Tower trip through their connections. Both are highly recommended. Having Wi-Fi connection was helpful as we mapped out the next day's adventure too. Last but not least - our greeter Lauren was friendly and helped give us a great orientation to our neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Cobblestone Paris Rentals!
Response from the manager Thank you! Passage du Marais is absolutely a dream apartment, and we are so happy that you enjoyed it. - Jennifer & Cobblestone Paris
“We will definitely be back - exceeded our expectations in every”
My husband and I literally cannot think of a single thing we needed or wished we'd had in the apartment - you all did a wonderful job. There were so many things that we loved about the apartment that it's hard to narrow it down. The location is perfect, pleasantly tucked away off the street and wonderfully quiet at night. We walked, or took the Metro/RER everywhere because the apartment is so well situated. We made friends all over the neighborhood, it's a fantastic intimate area that allows you to quickly settle into a "home base" feeling - it was nice to be recognized and treated like a regular at the local markets and cafes after only a few days. The apartment itself is a total gem. Our bed was really comfortable, the bathroom large and accommodating for two people getting ready at the same time. I loved that shower, and appreciated especially the heated towel rack. We didn't have to check luggage because we knew we could throw a load of laundry in when we needed to, what a treat it was to have a separate clothes dryer as well! We cooked a few nights and curled up with one of the dvd's provided in the apartment, it was nice to be able to relax at the end of long walking days and not be right on top of each other as we would in a hotel room. I didn't feel there were unnecessary rules, and appreciated the sense of autonomy we had with this rental. It was immaculate and perfectly outfitted as well.
Response from the manager Thank you, our motto is Live Like A Parisian, and it seems that you have really achieved that. Our mission is complete when guests report such great experiences. Thank you !
“Everything We Hoped for and More”
The three of us stayed at Le Passage for a few days on our way to Italy. The apartment was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was excellent - a short walk to two Metro stations and very close to grocery stores, restaurants and a wonderful boulangerie where we had coffee and croissants every morning. Lauren, our greeter was very welcoming, professional and informative. Our Parisian holiday this year was much too short. We will definitely stay at this apartment again on our next visit to Paris.
Response from the manager You have a home in Paris any time you want it !
The location, the peacefulness, and the decor of the apartment was perfect for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would return should we come back to Paris.
Response from the manager Bonjour Peter & Nicole, your comments are music to our ears ! Thank you for your support. - Jennifer & Cobblestone Paris.
“Lovely, spacious, charming, comfortable, addictive apartment!”
We loved all the space in the apt.! We tried not to get too spoiled as we had booked a (very nice and charming) hotel for the second half of our trip to Paris. Well, that didn't work! :-). The damage was done! We just loved the apartment! So much TLC was infused in the decorations and the little "extras" (a bottle of wine and bar of chocolate as a welcome gift) that you feel it! I'm in awe of your talent, Jennifer. It's obvious you put so much care and thought into the apartment; the beautiful personal touches were all over it! We loved the passageway and the area of Marais was well-suited to our laid-back style! The appliances were brand new and the bathroom was beautifully remodeled in a style that was modern but still in keeping with the character of the apartment. The wi-fi worked great and knowing that I could call home (the U.S.) without incurring roaming charges was very reassuring. I had a great connection with the one call I did make from the apartment. Lastly, the thorough brochure with all kinds of helpful info. about the apt. (i.e. operating the appliances, t.v., dvd player, recommendations for restaurants, helpful numbers for everything you could imagine)was just awesome. I enjoyed looking at the books, especially the one that was about the history of the Marais area of Paris. Our greeter, Lauren, was very nice and helpful. She was waiting for us at the apt. at the time we had agreed upon and when we got a little confused locating it she decided to walk out and lead us there. So nice! We will definitely be staying at one of your Cobblestone properties on our next trip across the pond! Merci Jennifer! Oh yes, one more thing - we even enjoyed hearing all the little schoolchildren laughing and yelling at the nearby school. We felt so at home! I was worried I would have to be physically removed when our time was up. Alas, the handcuffs I had used to chain myself to the fridge were cheap and my husband was able to break my hands free of them! ;-/
“A wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing”
Having a homelike experience in a well maintained apartment rather than just a room in a hotel made our stay very enjoyable. We really enjoyed having the kitchen and washer/dryer. The pull out sofa was fabulous, very comfortable. We used the pull out rather than the bed so we could watch tv at night after long days of walking. The apartment also came with extra electrical adapters which was a nice surprise and convenient. We have already recommended Cobblestone to our friends who someday may visit or revisit Paris. The people we met in the hallway to the apartment and inside the passage were friendly, always greeting us with a bonjour or bonsoir. The Passage was lovely and picturesque. It is very convenient to several metros and supermarkets. Having a personal greeter was a nice touch that you don't see with similar rentals and made us comfortable feeling that we could reach out to Cobblestone should anything unexpected happen.
“A brilliant place to stay!”
It was out first time renting apartment when travelling and we could not have had a better experience. Any-time I have ever booked a hotel on-line, the photos on the website always look lovely and when I arrive I am always a little let down as the place does not live up to the standards I expected. However with Passage du Marais, the reality way surpassed the pictures and reviews on-line. I have been recommending you to everyone I know and would be delighted to book with you again. I always complete reviews after travelling and I like to travel a lot and I can tell you that this is the best review I have ever given! Thanks again.
Response from the manager Dear Aileen, we try very hard to make every stay special, and your words mean so much to us. Thank you, Merci Merci ! -Jennifer & the Cobblestone Paris Team.
My husband and I just came back from a stay in Paris at Passage du Marais. The apartment was everything we hoped. It was charming to see and fully equipped. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and modern. The apartment was very quiet at night, so we slept wonderfully. For a couple of nights a friend of mine from England joined us and slept on the sleeper sofa. She said that it was comfortable as well. The location is great, with restaurants, banks, bakeries and three metro stations within just a couple of blocks. A lovely place to stay. There are stairs to get there (one spiral flight), so if you are unable to climb, this apartment won't work for you.
