“Perfect location for accessing ancient Rome sites”
Everything you need, from views to feeling a part of Rome by having your own home away from home. Easy access to the Pantheon and Campo d'fiori, and onwards to so many other sites. Clean, organized concisely for the space, and a heavenly quiet to return to after hours in the city crowds. Giacomo was available (by email) and booked car back to airport...he made it all very easy.
“Comfortable, quiet and well located”
This apartment was quite well located within a short walk to the Pantheon (allowing multiple visits as we wandered about), and the Largo Argentina with the cat colony (for those who care about cats). A grocery store is located around the corner that worked out fine for our stay of 5 days. There is an elevator (plus one short stair) to access the apartment, always a treat not to have to carry the luggage up many stories. The apartment is compact, but comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is efficient and allowed us to prepare most of our meals. The living room has a comfortable couch, TV with HDMI jack for watching video from your computer. The internet speed was very good, and supported streaming. The bath has a tub with shower. The bed was fine. The owner met us for the check in at the apartment and was quite helpful. When in Rome we will stay here. It is nice to find a rental apartment that you can feel good to go back to. This is a great base for exploring Rome.
This apartment is in a perfect location to experience Rome. It is a very short walk to the Pantheon and Capitoline Hill, and very close to one of the main bus stops. We were able to walk or bus everywhere, including the Vatican. Banks, Pharmacy, Grocery, and Coffee very nearby as well. The apartment itself is off of Piazza Gesu with a nice open square in front of it. The building has a giant door entry, and an inner courtyard. Apartment is up a couple floors and there is a small elevator. Place is very warm and inviting. There were 4 of us staying and with the pull out sofa in the living room and full bedroom with closing door we had enough space and privacy. The small balcony was a great place to sit and relax after a long day of sightseeing. One thing to keep in mind for your stay though, is that all consumables such as toilet paper are not included. We had a small roll when we got there and ran out quickly with none to replace it. (Made use of the bidet till we could get more! :) The place was great and we loved Rome. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
“Central Location and excellent service”
The flat is very charming with a balcon where you will enjoy your morning breakfast. Giacomo your host is a very friendly and helpful guy - a very nice experience that i recommend
“Great stay in a great Roman location”
We had a great stay. It is a safe place and very central to all Rome's great central sights. The apartment had all we needed for our 9 nights and Giacomo arranged our transfer in from the airport which went like clockwork.
“Lovely apartment in a fantastic central location”
We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The owner, a lovely man called Giacomo, was there to meet us on arrival and also arranged for a car from the airport which took the stress out of traveling into Rome. The apartment is well furnished and perfectly located for sightseeing - you can literally walk to all of the most popular sights. There is also a lovely small balcony to enjoy a glass of wine after a day out and about. We couldn't have chosen a nicer holiday flat, a better location or a more helpful owner. Should we return to Rome, we would love to stay here again.
Great location, walking distance to many attractions. Only complain is that place was noicy due to construction in the same builing.
“Awseome apartment withing walking distance to all major attracti”
The Castore apartment is in the best location for all major Rome attractions. It is furnished in an elegant and classical style. We walked with our little 10 yr old daughter to all attractions. Giacome met us promptly and gave us a map to reach all tourist spots by foot. He was friendly and very helpful. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had basic groceries. The bed was awesome. All equipment in the apartment are modern and work well. Our stay in Rome was fantastic because of this apartment. We hope to come back in future!
“Great location in Rome”
This apartment was in a fabulous location. Walking distance to all the major sights of Rome. The bed was very hard, but we grew accustomed. There was no washing machine, though the promo pictures show one. A gorgeous typical Italian space. Great TV. Clean and functional. Great communication with Giacomo both before and after. Barb
Response from the owner Dear Barbara, thank you for your review, you have been perfect hosts. The mattress is made in wool carded few months ago. Indeed it is quite hard and it is important and proper that future guests are aware of this. A small note on the washing machine; I have 2 apartments, Castore and Polluce, the second has the washing machine while Castore not. Maybe you remembered to have seen the picture of the washer between the images of Polluce because it is not present in any of those of Castore and it's not mentioned in the equipment of the apartment. Sorry the clarification but I like to show the apartments that rent for what they are so that guests know as precisely as possible what will and will not remain unpleasantly surprised when they arrive.
“"Castore" was a perfect location for a perfect two weeks.”
I'm a great walker, and everything from the Coliseum and aventine to the Villa Giulia ( my Outer Limit) was within reach. I slept like the proverbial log in the bed, was amused/delighted by the standard lamp in the sitting-room area, and though I produced only breakfast and cups of coffee and tea from the kitchen, could have easily done meals-- there is a handy Spar alimentari around the corner part way to the Feltrinelli book store I'm already saving up for a visit to Rome in 2014, and would be delighted to return to this very comfortable flat.
