This condo is in a great location. You are close to the palace of arts and to the walkway to zocalo where there are many shops. The condo is clean and well furnished.
“Excellent location and amenities”
We had a wonderful experience here. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It is close to many attractions, meaning easy, walkable distance to sites, restaurants, and markets. We felt very comfortable during our stay, including going out after dark. Bruce and his team are extremely hospitable and gracious hosts. From the moment we arrived at the airport, one of his staff greeted us and escorted us to the apartment. We received a complete tour of the building, as well as recommendations on some of the best nearby spots to grab a bite or a drink. Bruce and his team included several extra touches during our stay, such as a cell phone to use and even a swim cap, which is required in order to use the excellent lap-lane swimming pool in the building. Through Bruce, we were also able to book a driver/tour guide, Ricardo, who spent a day with us, driving us to and recounting the history of Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Guadalupe. We had a fabulous time during our stay here and highly recommend these accommodations and the services that go with them. Many thanks to Bruce and his team for providing such a great experience. My only complaint would be the street noise at night from the apartment...unavoidable in a city this large, but nothing that some ear plugs didn't solve. Thanks again!
“Perfect apartment in Heart of Historic Center”
This apartment is the perfect location for tourists, visiting scholars, and business visitors. It is located right in front of alameda Park, a 5 minute walk to the fine arts palace (Bellas artes) and Madeiro (the walking street filled with shops leading right into the iconic zocalo. I am a visiting scholar in the City and have rented with Bruce more than four times in the last year both for myself and for family. The complex has a gym, exercise pool, rooftop jogging track, inexpensive laundry service (in the building!), key card access, 24 hour door man, and an indoor courtyard for soaking up the sun and writing. The apartment overlooks the metropolitan theater and is located 2-5 minutes walking from pharmacies, restaurants, grocery stores, secure atms, hair and nail salons. Bruce provides complimentary local cell phone, airport pickup, and ensures the apartment has all the comforts and security of a hotel. The Hilton is located right next door and this apartment is far quieter and more comfortable with two bedrooms and bathrooms, large living space, and floor to ceiling windows. If you are visiting for tourism or research, Bruce has a wonderful driver and historian (Ricardo) who organized tours to Xochimilco, Hidalgo, and Teotihuacan for me. There is nothing that I would not recommend about this apartment, Bruce is wonderful to work with and sees to every detail of your stay. I will be renting this apartment again in the near future for myself and my family.
“centrally located in Mexico City”
The apartment was spacious clean and very centrally located near the theater, shopping, restaurants, museums and within walking distance to the presidential palace. The amenities were top rate including the pool, gym and rooftop track. The staff was very courteous and willing to assist us with what ever was needed to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
“Bruce and the unit very nice”
My wife and I stayed 9 days at a 1-bedroom unit at Puerta alameda and we had a wonderful time. Bruce had one of his assistants waiting to pick us up at the airport. When we arrived, Bruce greeted us and took us on a very nice tour of the neighborhood, probably close to 1 hour. Our unit was very nice, quiet and comfortable. My wife really enjoyed the pool. It is an indoor pool on the 9th floor and is very warm. And it is a great value!! All in all we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend any of Bruce's rentals here.
“Very relaxing stay”
Felt very safe in the area. Great restaurants nearby. walking distance to historic area. Very clean and orderly. Felt like I was living there already! =)
The apartment was nice and the location was right in the middle of everything. Has everything we need it including a washer and dryer. Bruce was an excellent host and will use his services on our next trip back to Mexico City.
“Location! Location! Location!”
Bruce makes you feel at home right away. He picked us up at the Mexico City airport on time and after taking us to the apartment at the Puerta alameda condominium complex gave us a tour of the condominium and also of the neighborhood. Location! Location! Location! If you want to see the historic center of Mexico City, all of it is within walking distance. The area near the apartment, only one block south of alameda Park, feels safe at all hours and seems to be undergoing a renaissance. Many excellent restaurants are located nearby. Our favorites were Grotan (Argentine), Cafe de Tacuba (Mexican), and Hosteria Santo Domingo (Mexican, for a Sunday afternoon lunch at 2 PM), but in the same block as the apartment there are several fine choices. We walked to two great concerts at the Palacio de Bellas artes, only ten minutes away. We hired Bruce`s recommended driver, Ricardo, for two days. The first day we explored Coyoacan and San angel and vicinity. The second day he was our guide to the pyramids of Teotihuacan. You couldn`t ask for a finer driver/guide. The apartment worked well for us. At a neighborhood restaurant we met a couple who were renting another Puerta alameda apartment from Bruce, and they were also satisfied clients. Thanks, Bruce!
“Great Host and awesome time”
Renting any of Bruce's apartments is just a great experience. You always get what you expect and more...friendly service and always available to answer any questions you may have. The apartments are always clean and what can I say about location!!! It is smack in the middle of everything. Cafes, restaurants, monuments, night life, etc. The apartments have 24 hour security so you can rest assured you are in a safe area. The gym and Olympic pool are great amenities. The gym is complete and you can even take advantage of a trainer who is there and available to assist you on any workout programs or objectives you may have and it's free of charge!!! My husband and I love to stay at Puerta alameda. We keep coming back and will continue to do so. I strongly recommend working with Bruce who is organized and always available.
We arrived at Mexico City late in the evening and received a friendly welcome from Tom Hayes. Into the city in a comfortable car and then we saw the apartment: just the right size for the four of us, modern, nicely furnished. As we found out the following day, it was a s central as it gets: The Zocalo, Bellas artes (I recommend seeing the Ballet Folklorico there, by the way)and the Metro etc, all within easy walking distance. We got the use of a cell-phone, a useful and thoughtful touch. Tom met us the next day and gave us a walkabout, showing us the key sights, plus the practical touch of bringing us to a nearby supermarket. He also put us in touch with Ricardo, a driver: punctual, genial, courteous and knowledgable - who brought us for an enjoyable trip to the pyramids, on the outskirts of the city. This was our first experience of renting an apartment for a city vacation: it turned out to be a hugely satisfying experience, aided by the professionalism and friendly help of Tom and Bruce.
