“Excellent penthouse in Buenos aires best neighborhood!”
Stayed there for a week and it was an amazing experience. The apartment is great, very comfortable and well decorated, trendy and yet very cozy, in an excellent location in Palermo, Buenos aires hottest neighborhood, where you can walk to several of the best and trendiest restaurants and shops in town. Thank you very much, we'll be back soon!
“Light, Airy apartment in Palermo”
We can only say good things about Carlos' apartment. In so many ways it is an unusual apartment for Buenos aires. While most places are made up of small rooms with low ceilings, here, your first impression is of space and light. This two-bedroom apartment stretches three stories high, with an open plan that allows air to move freely through floor-to-ceiling French doors at either end of a long living/dining room (a godsend in the summer); and for light to filter down all three stories of the central atrium. It's a remarkably grand and generous feeling for a modest sized place. We lived there through three seasons - from September to June - and found it as practical as it was delightful. The neighborhood is the safe and accessible Palermo Soho where taxis are easy to get and which sports as many boutiques per block as it does cafes and restaurants at least three French bakeries. Every Saturday morning there is a traditional farmers' market beneath your window, selling everything from fresh fish to peanuts, all at low prices. The ample roof terrace served as an extra living room for sunset gatherings as well as a place to practice dancing. Responses to questions or problems were very quick. The only potential negatives were that the bachelor kitchen is very small. And you need to be in fairly good shape to walk up four flights of stairs to get to the front door, plus another three flights to reach the roof terrace.
“For art lovers”
In the middle of Buenos aires' new and trendy gallery and restaurant scene, a lovely penthouse on three levels, with a gorgeous terrace overlooking a typical "plaza porteña"!
“Great location, great space!”
Overall, this was a wonderful location to stay in Buenos aires! My coworker and I spent about two weeks at the Penthouse. It was so nice to have a "home" versus a hotel room. Carlos was very easy to work with setting up the contract, as was Patricia at the apartment. The unit was very comfortable and came with plenty of information about the surrounding area (including restaurant recommendations, location of grocery stores, etc.) The roof deck was a great chance to get some afternoon sunshine. There are a lot of stairs, as others have mentioned, but other then that, it was perfect!
“Location, location, location”
Spent three nights at the loft in November and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Beautiful time of year to visit the city; jacarandas in full bloom and this place couldn't be better situated. Lots of great activities within easy walking distance--restaurants, nightspots, galleries, botanical gardens, shopping yoga etc-- and easy access to the metro too. The roof deck really makes the place stand out. Check in and out were a breeze with super-friendly property manager. We'll definitely be back- thank you!
“palermo soho review”
Overall, a 3.5 Pros: Location Ease of booking/reliable owner Cons: Older condition than pictures 2nd shower is not really usable Loud club nearby Property manager allowed us to wait in light rain for taxi Extra fee for checking out several hrs late, even though no one booked for next day
“A home from home”
We're really pleased we stayed at the Palermo Soho Penthouse. It had the space we needed to spread out and the amenities to make us feel at home. The apartment and area are great. Everything you need is only a short walk away - restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, laundrettes. The owner Carlos responded quickly to emails and his agent in Buenos aires Patricia organised check in/out and was quick to respond if needed.
“great loft in a great location”
My husband, myself and our two college-age sons stayed in this loft in July. It's full of light and airy. There's a lot of stairs--both in the loft and the two flights up to the second floor. But that's part of the charm. We loved the roof deck, back patio and beautiful font windows overlooking the park, the metal catwalk within the loft. The neighborhood is great--tons of terrific restaurants and shops, all within walking distance and only about a ten or 15 minute walk to the subway. Only criticism: owner insists on being paid in U.S. cash, which is probably no big deal if you're flying directly into Buenos aires and going straight to the apartment. But we were traveling for two weeks in argentina before we got to Ba, so it was trickier for us. We would have preferred to us Paypal, visa, dirct wire or a personal check and not have had to carry that so cash on us.
“Excellent apt, helpful property manager, amazing experience!!!”
Thanks Carlos and Patricia for a phenomenal stay! I traveled with my sister-in-law and we visited our brother who was studying in Ba. The apartment was in an ideal location across from a beautiful square, a block from great restaurants, bars, shopping, and just a few blocks from the metro. (Go to Quimbombo across the square for a wonderful, healthy meal and great ambience!!!) The area is very secure and we were not concerned at all about safety in this apartment. We ended up spending many mornings and nights just hanging out in the apartment because it was so comfortable, so fun to leave the sliding glass doors open and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city with a glass of wine, and so convenient to be able to spread out and have our own space compared to a hotel room. Patricia received me at the door when I arrived and was incredibly flexible when I had to extend my stay because of the volcano in Chile. She made herself availble if we had any issues, but we did not have any!! Buenos aires is an amazing city, and I want to go back and stay in this same place when it is warmer out and we can better enjoy the gorgeous outdoor areas of this apartment. I would recommend this apartment to anyone!!
Our trip to argentina was amazing!! We loved it. The Palermo Soho Penhouse helped to accentuate our experience. First of all I want to say Location Location Location! The loft is located in the middle of everything! We basically walked everywhere from the penthouse. The deck on the third floor has great views. We spent alot of time there. The penthouse is well designed. Very contemporary which is my style. The art work was awesome. The check in was very easy. It did take it a couple of times to get use to locking and unlocking the door. One feature which I thought was mazing is that the penthouse had a phone we could use to call the U.S. I thought that was very nice. Overall we had an amazing trip. We actually want to move to argentina now! Thanks Carlos/Patricia!
