Very Good

“Spring Break”

Reviewed 1 May 2014

This was our first time to the area. We were there for our son's spring break. When we arrived at the cabin it was just perfect for the three of us. It really felt like home. We had one rainy day which didn't bother us at all to stay in. The bedrooms were great and the beds were so comfortable. My son loved having the "loft" to himself with the pool table. The location of the cabin was perfect. We were right in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They even provided fire wood so we could have a fire one night. We would definitely stay here again.

Response from the manager Thank you for your great review. It sounds like Call of the Wild was great for your spring break vacation. We would love to have you stay with us again for your next spring break or for just a mountain getaway.

“It was romantic.”

It was wonderful for our 15 anniversary. Easy access for disability. Privacy was wonderful. We love everything.

Response from the manager Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear this cabin was great for your Anniversary. We would love to have you stay with us again sometime.

After my knee surgery in October, and an upper respiratory crud from Jan to March, and snow every two days from Jan thru first of March, and minus temps here in the mountains, and our 40th anniversary on March 13th, this cabin was the best medicine ever! Slept all day, only went out to eat. The peace and quiet was absolutely what my husband, and I needed! The showers are the coolest showers ever! I want one in my house! To get upstairs, and down, I had to just scoot, but it worked! Enjoyed playing pools. Didn't enjoys the snow driving to the canin one night though. Didn't want to see white stuff. The drive is a bit challenging, next time, I would want something not quite so hard to get into. If that's possible for Gatlinburg! A smaller vehicle would be better. The folks we talked to were very nice in the office, friendly, helpful. The cabin amenities were very nice. They even had packets of dishwasher soap, and dish soap, although we didn't eat a thing there, only coffee. I did see one critter in the house. Maybe time for their pest control people to visit. We did not use hot tub or jacuzzi bathtub, my orthopedic dr told me no! A high rate of bad infections after you have had a surgery. So I didn't push my luck on that! Went there to relax and destress with the anniversary actually taking second place to relax. It is, what it is! Again the location was not my favorite. Maybe if we had not taken a wrong turn last night going back to cabin and maybe if we had got done with dinner before dark, we would not of got lost. It's a great cabin. We really did hate to leave this morning! Wish checkout was a bit later but it does have to be cleaned for someone else to enjoy it! I give cleanliness an average, I saw lots of dust bunnies behind furniture and pictures and rockers needed a good dusting on bottom. That's why it gets average. And the bug I squished this a.m.

Response from the manager Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you were able to get the rest and relaxation you were looking for. Anytime there is an issue with dust or the cleaning of the cabin please let us know immediately and we will send housekeeping right out. The cabins are all located in the Smoky Mountains and are surrounded by woods. Critters and bugs tend to sneak their way in from time to time. We have some cabins that are not as high up as Call of the Wild. We would love to have you stay with us again. Next time, we can recommend simialr cabins that are not as far up the mountain.

“Awesome experience at call of the wild”

The cabin was terrific, the showers were beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped, just like your kitchen at home. The view was great, it was a very relaxing stay.

Response from the manager Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Call of the Wild and were able to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains. We would love to have you back again.

“A wonderful relaxing trip with my husband and two kids.”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2014

The cabin was beautiful, clean, cozy, and private, but still close to town. We loved the rock showers and hot tub. The kids enjoyed making smores outside at the fire pit area. Both of the king size beds were very comfortable. We even saw four wild turkeys from the living room window, they were huge!

Response from the manager Thank you for your review. The rock showers are a great part of this cabin. In the mountains you never know what form of wildlife you will see. Please give us a call if you are ever coming this way for your vacation again. We would love to have you back in Call of the Wild.

“Vacation Paradise!”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2014

This cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We had such a wonderful vacation. The location couldn't have been better. It was a short drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit as it snowed!!! We'll definitely rent this one again! This was our second year renting with Heartland and the staff are top notch and friendly!

Response from the manager Thank you for your wonderful review. We appreciate your loyalty to Heartland Rentals. We are so happy to hear you had a great vacation with snow and roasting marshmallows. We can't wait to have you back.
