“The best appointed cottage I have ever rented”

Reviewed 17 Nov 2013

Loved this place. Wonderful accommodation. Excellent facilities. Cannot fault this place. Needed a warm and dry location for two Lakeland Trails running events and this place was perfect.

“Perfect short break”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2013

Booked a short break so we could visit friends in the village. Ideal for the two of us and our dog (Pip), it's very cozy and Very handy for the Boot n Shoe. A pub we would recomend not only for the food but it's friendly atmosphere. Rose Cottage was very clean and had everything we would want for our stay. Just a pity it was too warm and we didn't get to lght the fire (can't beleive I'm saying that)! Greystoke is an in an ideal location for the village experience but close enough to use as a base to tour the lakes. We will return!

“Perfect cottage, perfect location”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2013

We have just returned from a weeks stay at rosé cottage and we absolutely loved it. From the minute we arrived it was perfect. Everything was thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Milk, tea, coffee ect on our arrival. Shampoo/conditioner in bathroom, small touches that were really appreciated. The cottage was immaculate with modern interior. Last but definitely not least are the wonderful neighbours, who were very friendly without being intrusive and for that reason alone we would without hesitation recommend this lovely little cottage.

“Comfortable and pretty”

Lovely feel to cottage. Everything we needed provided except an empty cupboard to store food! Didn't get to explore village and pub dure to other engagements, but would visit again

“Perfect Little Cottage”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2012

We booked a week holiday in this cottage as a last minute get-away not knowing the village or area and we were delighted with both the area and the cottage. My partner and I and our little girl (and our little puppy) were very comfortable in this very well equipped house. We found the cottage cosy and tastefully decorated. On arrival we found the house very clean and well stocked with towels etc. It has a lovely little well kept garden to the rear which was nice to sit out in. The picturesque village of Greystoke itself is set in beautiful surroundings. It has a post office which sells some groceries too and a fantastic pub next to the green. We found it an excellent base to visit the Lakes and the Scottish borders. We all had a fantastic week in this cottage and would very much like to stay there again!

“Just the job. A beautiful location. Recommended.”

Reviewed 13 Dec 2011

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Even though it was very cold, wet & windy outside, but once inside, we were warm as toast. The stairs are quite steep, but normal for an old terraced property. We would thoroughly recommend the property.

“Cottage not ready on arrival”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2011

Wewere dissapointed on arrival, because the cottage was in the same state as left by the previous tennants. We had to go away for an 1 1/2 hours in the rain at 5 30 P.M. The cleaner was most appologetic and couldn`t have been nicer. However my husband was extremely cross and it spoilt the beginning of our holiday. My husband also didn`t think the property was worth 4 stars. I however loved the place, village and holiday. Perhaps a little compensation might have helped!!
