Simply excellent, cosy little cottage with views to die for easy access by road to Troutbeck Kendal and Windemere.

“Wonderful”

Lovely cottage, perfect size for my partner, myself and Harry our Beagle. All the amenities to self cater including fridge freezer and full size cooker. Such a peaceful location and beautiful views of the hillsides and fells. The garden was enclosed so Harry couldn`t escape. Ann and Peter were very welcoming and on hand if needed but left us to it. There were many walks along the lanes to enjoy although a steep climb back from Staveley if anyone is incapacitated in any way. We felt so relaxed afterwards and were extremely lucky with the weather having glorious sunshine every day (end of March too ! ) We would certainly go there again. Fresh farm eggs across the road at reasonable prices.

“warm, comfortable, welcoming, beautiful views, good dog walking”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2011

The cottage, although very small, was comfortable and well equipped, especially for a weekend. For a week or longer it could do with a washing machine. The owners are very welcoming and we will be happy to stay there again. The views are fantastic and you can walk without having to drive, although it is also very close to Windermere and Kendal.
