“Creekside awesomeness!!!”

Reviewed 6 May 2014

Rented Creekside Waterfall for a weekend this past winter and it did not disappoint. Beautiful, nicely appointed cabin in a quiet secluded "holler". Good thing we had a 4wd! Would have been tough crossing the creeks in an average car. Loved it so much, we're coming back this summer.

“Lots of Privacy”

Reviewed 6 May 2014

You need to make sure you have a vehicle that can go through wooded area and drive across 2 creeks, a low small car wouldn't be good, but as far as the place, more privacy than you can imagine. We loved the house, lots of room. Just alot of stairs. I've never climbed so many stairs in my life. Good exercise though. The only trouble we had was that the hot tub outside was nasty, and the outdoor fire pit up by the waterfall is nice, but a long way to haul wood. And the down stairs bedroom has no central heat and the small fireplace in cabinet didnt keep room warm at all, but in the summer when its hot that room would be the best, but not for cold weather.

“Rested in the hot tub while watching the waterfall. Spectacular.”

The house was wonderfully clean and equipped with everything we needed. It is spacious, secluded and beautiful. The only minor negatives - it is hard to get to, the master bedroom smells musty, and the only hiking trail we found was a poison ivy bed. If you are looking for a place to relax and plan on staying put, it is an ideal location. It had rained a lot before we arrived, so the dirt road was very eroded and muddy, we made it though. We would stay here again.

“Stunning location”

We spent a delightful week at Creekside Waterfall. The setting was beautiful...large waterfall, strong flowing creeks (yes, more than one), firepit by the waterfall, with a hammock almost hanging over the creek. The kids enjoyed climbing up creek and building dams; water was cold, but we quickly got used to it. Cabin was comfortable, very clean, and well-equipped. Plenty of sleeping arrangements, but I must say that the downstairs (walk-out basement) bedroom was very damp; I would'nt want anyone sleeping down there for more than one or two nights. Upstairs loft sleeping was comfy and plenty of towels and extra sheets/covers available. Hot tub and covered porch were enjoyed by everyone. The cabin seems remote, but actually within 20-30 minutes of "civilization", but would suggest bringing with you everything you need foodwise. Very private and beautiful. Not as many hiking trails on the property as I had expected.

“This might be heaven”

There are newer cabins on the list...there is nothing remotely close to this that Ive seen, and Ive rented with Carolina Mountain for years...imagine a 60 plus foot waterfall, dropping hard and fast into a gorgeous running creek that flows and meanders across the property...then imagine that this was forty feet outside of your back door, running right past your covered porch and master bedroom...aaah! The cabin is incredibly comfortable, again maybe not the newest and shiniest, but spotlessly clean, spacious and extremely well appointed inside. Final hint...the driveway to the cabin includes two shallow water crossings (4 inches midstream??)...leave the Corvette at home!!

“Peaceful and breath taking”

We really enjoyed our stay here and the seclusion! The house is way back out in the woods (don't take a very small vehicle because the drive is rutty but worth it!) Everything was as described and it was so peaceful for our family! I would love to stay here again! (The shower is to die for...and the water runs all the way down the hill behind the house (you can sit right on the porch or stroll through the woods)!
