“Older condo with upgraded kitchen and room for six works for ski”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2014

The unit has three levels with bedrooms on lower and upper levels. The kitchen has new counters and sink plus a dishwasher. The dining area has seats for six and two stools for the breakfast bar. Flat screened TVs x4 with blueray disc player. The wireless network required three or four attempts at connecting, but then worked fine. This unit is close to the hot tub. Parking is limited to two cars. The cleaning fee is $125 and there are instructions for the renter to wash the dishes and empty the garbage before leaving. As a former Mammoth condo owner, this condo could be cleaned in one to two hours. The going rate is $30 per hour so the cleaning fee is significantly inflated.

“Relaxing Mammoth Lakes Retreat”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2013

This unit was very comfortable and allowed for a relaxing vacation time. The sleeping area are nicely separated and the unit is located in easy walking distance to The Village. We enjoyed our time there very much and hated to leave!

“Great Condo”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2013

The condo was great. very clean, roomy enough for us. we were able to sleep a couple in each room and the loft, and with the leftover 2 or 3 of us comfortably in the living room. The condo was located right at a shuttle stop (blue-line shuttle stop was right at the driveway of the complex). It had a convenient ski-room outside the front door to securely lock our skis/snowboards. Plenty of coat-hangers to hang out snowboarding clothes to dry. Showers got hot quick. I would definitely stay in this location again.

“not bad”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2013

We had 4 previous trips to Mammoth and this is the first time we stayed in the Mammoth View Villas. The condo itself was OK; a good value. It's really a place if you just want to sleep, make breakfast, head to the mountains and not spend too much time hanging out. We, though, were on a family vacation and wanted to spend time together in the evenings, cooking all our meals and playing cards/games. There are better choices in Mammoth for what we were looking for. The only thing that was less than OK was the hot tub in the complex -- not worth the trip. It's close to the blue line, running every 15 minutes, that drops off at Canyon Lodge.

“great skiing- bad sleep”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2012

Cabin was fine but all beds were horrible. I understand they don't make a good rollout...(I assume this one would be bad), but to have the master and others with springs sticking you all night. Would never recommend this particular cabin to anyone.

“Convenient, pleasant, efficient, and affordable.”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2012

Don't be fooled by the bland exterior design. These units look like converted prefab barns that were dropped in by helicopter, but the interiors are cozy and efficiently designed with no wasted space. Our two families (party of 7) had ample room. The TV over the fireplace is great! The beds are another story. I was too tired from skiing to complain, but the other adults felt the beds sagged so much that sleep was somewhat of a challenge. Our unit had 2 double beds, a loft with a bunk bed for two, a roll-away bed, a pullout couch for two, and a pull-out chair for one. The unit sleeps 10 in a pinch. The complex is conveniently located near a shuttle stop and it's a reasonable walk to the town center and gondola that will take you to the Canyon lifts. When there is normal snowfall (not this year) I believe one can ski back to the unit. The office unit has an outdoor jacuzzi, showers, changing rooms and a rec. room with a hand-made (ancient) pool table. The only thing lacking was that the rec. room TV didn't work and the fireplace was a fake electric one that seemed ridiculous to have in the first place. Overall, I would stay here again, but only if the beds were upgraded. P.S. Our refrigerator died so the management provided ice chests for two nights, then a replacement refrigerator for the other two nights. A hassle, but they did what they could.
