“Cool cabins”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2017

Cool cabins was great, the cabin, was cold, not enough heat, doors did not shut good, had to almost kick door to open it, many outlets did not work.

Response from the manager Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback on this cabin and we will definitely have these things taken care of to make our cabins better for you and other guests. We hope you'll return to Big Bear soon and continue to stay with Cool Cabins.

“just right”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2014

Wanted a comfy family cabin that felt like a cabin - this one is perfect. Great back deck and indoor eating area with wonderful views. Private place yet close to village and lake. Games, books, BBQ, backyard for the dog - who could ask for anything more. Already recommended this place to friends! P.S. Pleasure Point Marina is worth the short drive, those guys were great and gave us a great deal on Waverunners!

“cute and cozy”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2014

We came to this cabin for Christmas, it was so nice and clean with toiletries and fresh towels. It is perfect for a family of 4-5 I gotta say it was the best Christmas we've had in a long time, the Dock and patio were covered in snow and the add doesn't mention there is a beautiful view of the lake. We sat by the fire, ate smores, watched movies, played games, it was great!

“Comfy and quaint home away from home in the woods:)”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

My husband and I loved our stay at this laid back and cute cabin. The back deck was perfect for relaxing and having our meals with a pretty little glimpse of the lake through the trees. The foosball table was a fun bonus. There were plenty of extra comforters, so we used a couple as matress pads to make the beds a tad more comfortable and we slept very well. The only con was that the backyard could really use a cleaning/clearing (some past tennants may have thrown some trash over the balcony sadly - moldy corncobs, yuck) - wasn't really comfortable with the dogs playing back there. But it was a nice neighborhood to walk around and we were able to walk the dogs down to the lake which was great. Will definitely come back in the future.

“Rustic adventure”

Overall we were happy with this cabin. We liked the backyard view and private patio. My boys enjoyed the game table and tire swing. The cabin was a little tricky to find. The cabin was clean but really needed a deep cleaning, especially around the windows and behind beds. There were cobwebs and spiders around windows and behind beds. The cabin was a little dark and cluttered. You had to walk up a very narrow stairway upstairs. My boys felt like they were in a scary movie and had a difficult time falling asleep. It was also required to throw your trash in a seperate location before checking out.

“Awesome cabin!”

I stayed in this cabin with a few friends and we had a great time! We went up for Oktoberfest & I was very please! The cabin was very cozy and the outside deck was huge and so much fun! We went towards the end of October 2011 and the weather was awesome. We were able to hangout outside and enjoy the view of Big bear! Also enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as the kitchen dinning room had a great view! The location is perfect. Walking distance to a lot or a simple drive to town. I would recommend this place to people who are looking for a big bear cabin feel as it has an awesome loft too. We didn't utilize the game room as we were out and about during the day but it is such a cool cabin. Can't wait to stay here again this year!

“Fun Times with friends”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2012

The cabin was nice, had fun in the backyard with snow. It was pretty clean and neat. We tried the fire place and the vent wasn't open which smoked up the room pretty quickly and the fire alarm went off, when we figured out how to work it everything was good. The only issue was with the shower, the drain is clogged so water was almost over flowing during shower.

“Overall an excellent weekend!”

The staff was friendly and professional. The pricing was very affordable when compared to other places. The home was great in size and had all the necessary ammenities you can think of. The back yard was big and fenced for the dogs.I can't really say anything bad about this place. We really enjoyed our stay.

“Old rustic cabin with a nice view and great fireplace--not that”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2012

My extended family stayed in this cabin over the holidays, and although we enjoyed our stay--loved sitting by the big fireplace at night, eating in the dining room looking at the lovely view, and slept comfortably in the upstairs loft and downstairs bedroom--there were a few things that proved a little unsafe for little ones. All the rooms had exposed heaters--they worked great at warming the place, but we were constantly nervous our toddler was going to stumble into one. The main one in the living room is stationary and Big--we just rearranged some furniture in front of it to be sure no one would get burned. We were excited about the "sledding hill" in the back yard, but it slopes right into a chain-link fence, so was not at all safe for the kids. There is a rope swing in the front yard, though, that offered many giggles. The only other issue was the bathroom--it's small with no tub (again not great for little kids). Overall the cabin served our needs and was comfortable--it's just not for babies and needs a little TLC.
