“Beautiful environment”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2010

The colors of the sky when the sun sets on the other side, were amazing, never seen anything like this. It felt like being by the sea. The cottage was very pleasant and relaxing, the decoration is beautifully designed.

“Best Vacation”

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was perfect - starting with beautiful house in a picturesque location and nice weather. We never experienced any problems, so our stay was unforgettable. We thank the owner of the house for providing us with every amenities possible.

“A fabulous stay”

We knew we were going to have a wonderful week from the moment we pulled into the driveway. The cottage is inviting and beautifully decorated. The water is so clean. Every need we had was anticipated. It was wonderful to wake up and see the water from the bed. We've been talking about going back next year ever since.

“a beautiful cottage and great place to stay.”

“Classy, Cozy Cottage”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2009

My husband and I spent hours at home comparing various cottages, finally settling on the Georgian Belle. We have rented two other cottages on the Bruce Peninsula. We knew that the Belle would be the nicest cottage we'd ever rented. However, we were unprepared for just how lovely the cottage was "in person". Pictures cannot do it justice. We arrived at dusk. Inside, soft music was playing, and the lights were turned low. It was obvious that the cottage had been decorated with great care. It felt elegant, yet unpretentious. We were very happy to be there. We hiked on both of the nearby trails. They are not the most spectacular trails on the entire peninsula. However, having trails so close gave the vacation a very different feel. We had never before been able to walk out our front door, and be on the trail within minutes. The Devil's Monument trail is spectacular when it runs along the escarpment. It criss-crosses an interior road. You can use that road as a shortcut to the more interesting parts of the trail. Devil's Monument, itself, is quite spectacular. Be sure to climb down to the beach. The view is not to be missed! The view from the cottage is also quite nice. Because it was October, we spent most of our non-hiking time inside the cottage. The large windows afford a lovely view of the Georgian Bay. At that time of year, the tree near the beach is a brilliant yellow-orange. The cottage was especially cozy at night. It was much more romantic and sophisticated than the "homier" cottages we have rented. There is a CD player with a varied collection of CDs, many of which are suitable for romantic dinners by candlelight. If you are a paddler, there is plenty of beachfront from which to launch. It is pebble beach, with mild, lapping waves in calm weather. In the summer, when the windows can be open, the lapping waves would be quite soothing for sleeping. It would be hard to find a nicer cottage, if you are a small party or a couple!

“Heaven on Earth”

We were in much need of a secluded getaway and the Georgian Belle was incredible. The cottage owner is a gem and sets the stage for an incredible dream vaction. It is like an advertisement walking through the front door. Will go back given the opportunity. Suitable for a couple needing some one on one time. Great deep clean waterfront... romantic sunrises and coffee on the rocky beach!

“We love the Georgian Belle!”

Reviewed 23 Jan 2009

We have spent two vacations at the Georgian Bell and hope to return. The cottage is comfortable, in immaculate condition, and well equipped. The view from the cottage is truly spectacular. We enjoyed canoeing, walking along the shore of the bay, bird watching, and just relaxing. The owner, who lives nearby, is delightful.
