“Very comfortable with amazing views”

Good service, as always. The bungalow was very comfortable with everything we needed provided. For us a perfect location very quiet & away from it all - just what we needed! Most of all we enjoyed the quiet with wonderful views.

“Fabulous views shame about the extras”

We love this part of ardnamurchan, and have been using steading holidays for many years always thinking very highly of them and the property's they represent. The property did not disappoint with wonderful views across to the islands however this time we had just come from a holiday rental on Skye which had everything included in the cost of the rental which on comparison was a lot less for the same type of property. For the first time we felt a little ripped off having to pay for electricity, bedding and dogs as must be said we understood this on booking and the steadings staff were their helpful selves but on reflection it will make us think twice about future bookings which is a real shame as the property and area are second to none

“The view is everything.”

A very clean, traditionally decorated cottage which housed our family comfortably for a week. The view over Muck, Eigg and Rhum is spectacular. The location is lovely for those who enjoy rural isolation. We recommend the Sonachan Hotel for food, the Community Garden for salads and vegetables, and the Ferry Stores in Kilchoan. It would have been nice if the enormous windows had opened onto the deck, or if the door locks had worked more easily, but you can't have everything.

“Stunning views, remote location really get away from it all”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2013

The service was good, house was good, everything as expected. Very remote, so no mobile signal. Nearest Wifi we found was in the tourist office in Kilchoan. Nearest shop in Kilchoan (7 miles). Good local beach and stunning when the sun shone. Fantastic sunsets. Teenagers didn't like the lack of internet access.

“Lovely Location”

A rough drive up the track but view is lovely. A big garden with lots of space. Although further than it looks from the photos, we had a lovely walk down to the sea. The property had been left tidy and clean (but quite a few cobwebs). We spent most of our late evenings on the decking which was a fabulous facility in the property. Although a little dated in terms of decoration, the property was reasonably comfortable. However, toaster didn't work and door to decking needed brute force to lock. We were contacted during our stay to ask for payment, despite having already paid. We were ready to leave as requested at 10am on day of departure, but took our time getting last few bags into car. People arrived to clean at 10.30 just as we were heading off. We were in no way holding them back from doing their job and felt the ladies response was a little rude. We absolutely adore ardnamurchan and have visited twice previously but will probably stay elsewhere in the future.
