“Great location interesting interior”

Great location in the complex, but interior finishes are mixed? No a/C, can get warm. Overall a 1970/80's feel to much of the place. Only one of the 2.5 bathrooms is updated. All bedrooms are upstairs. Front bedroom is very bright in the morning. Nice to have 2 bedrooms but the couch downstairs does not fold out. Only one TV? Furniture is dated. A couple window screens were broken and one was not in the window and laying on the roof, which was noted by Whaler's at check in but took follow up call and like four days to get them "fixed". Slight pain since this the only source of cooling? Well stocked kitchen and gas grill. Phone ranged @3:00 am looking for owner??? Not cool...and several other times but these were at least during waking hours. We extended our stay 1 day due to a strom & cancelled flight, requested receipt but still have not received a month later? but was billed??

Response from the manager Aloha Eric, Our apologies that the property didn't live up to your expectations. I double checked 43-2's webpage and it explains that there is one TV, no AC or sofa bed and shows the quality of the interior. The owners recently completed a total renovation of the kitchen and the location is one of the best in Puamana, just over the bridge from the clubhouse/oceanfront pool and within 150 feet of the beach. My sincere apologies regarding the screens unless its a handyman fix we rely on a professional screen company to make repairs and services are limited on the Island. I have double checked with or staff to find out why we didn't get the confirmation out for your last night, they said a confirmation was sent when you called however we have emailed another today just to be safe. This unit belongs to a friend. We are fortunate to be able to stay here.. We're not certain whom the owner wishes to rent 42-3 hence the hesitation in recommending it.

The location was the best on Maui for us. The service from Whalers and Puamana were outstanding. The condo needs new wallpaper, furniture, drapes, shutters and painting. The stairs are rusting and the front screen door needs to be replaced. The downstairs TV channel remote was not functioning. A total renovation should be done to the condo for the price we paid for the rental. It also needs an air condition on both levels! I would not rent this condo again until the above comments are addressed.

The condo's location and the complex was outstanding. It was great to be able to sit out on the patio and watch the waves. The condo's kitchen was nicely remodeled and was nicely equipped. The condo was clean on our arrival. What was disappointing was that the rest of the condo was run down. There were small holes in the wall near the floor by the front door. The walls seemed dirty in many locations. There were stains on the sofa and chairs. The wall paper was worn through is spot and pealing in other locations, mostly in the upstairs bathrooms. Some of the window screens upstairs would fall of if you tried to close the windows, though you could get them back on. There were, also, a large amount of ants that we had to take care of, mostly in the upstairs master bathroom. Over all, I would stay in the Puamona complex again and I would recommend it to others, but I would not stay at the same condo. It was a bit disappointing to see all of the other condo's nicely updated when ours was not.

We found your accommodations immaculate and well furnished. The grounds were well manicured. The location is excellent as there is peace and quiet and yet you are only a stone's throw from shopping and restaurants. The only drawback was an invasion by a small army of cockroaches the night before we left. Granted they were on the lanai but it was still unsettling.
