“nice place for 3”
the condo was difficult to find the first night when arriving at midnight, but once we got there, it was fine. Nice place for 3 people. The hideaway bed as a bed was horrible--like sleeping on fat chicken wire; but when I just slept on it with the bedding/covers on the couch, it was great! Very quiet, handy location-- close to shuttle to get to winter Park/Mary Jane. Had a small, but full, kitchen. Good price for amenities. The hot tub was easy drive to (could walk, but very slippery!) We drove each day after skiing...it was always empty--never had to share the hot tub. Pool was small for swimming laps, but okay. Locker room had rubber mats that hurt your feet, but adequate for changing and showering after hot tub or pool. Will go there again in future if need room for only 3 people.
If you rent this notice 2 things. No internet and the bedroom is above the living room. It is a nice clean place for two people. We enjoyed it and would stay there again. Winter is a great place to enjoy the great hiking trails. Pool was nice, but the water was cold. The parking lot is not paved so your car gets dirt all over it.
“Peace and quite”
Felt a little dated on the lower level. The location was good. Very peaceful. Office people were very friendly both on the phone and in person.
“Sufficient but not great!”
We went on a mini ski vacation. The rental was ok, clean & decent but nothing I will return to. There was no wifi signal and it was difficult to even get our phone to work. The other thing that was disappointing was the location of the pool & hot tub were far enough away that we had to drive there.
“Nice. Comfortable for three.”
The unit is clean and comfortable. No wifi, and the DVD player didn't work. Boys liked the pool. Bus stop close, but over 30 minute ride to the mountain. Wasn't much available last minute, and for only a one night stay. A little pricey, but not outrageous. Quiet and peaceful unit. The extra 1/2 bath was nice. The front desk staff was very helpful, professional, and friendly.
We have used Vacations, Inc. for many years. The service has always been great. We like the corner condo. The biggest problem with the complex is the parking. Not enough room even when there isn't much snow. Guess there probably isn't a good solution.
This place was a dump! In need of major renovations. All of the doors had terrible seals so it was always hard to keep the place a comfortable temperature. The supplied silverware/dishes were all dirty and in severe need of replacement. The weekend we chose to go to winter park this was the only place available, the trip was still worth it due to the fresh powder and beautiful scenery, but please do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here if you can.
“You get what you pay for. Worth every penny.”
We stayed at Hideaway Village right after the new year. It was a small but well utilized space. It was very warm and cozy with a bathroom on each floor, terrific. There was mold in the tub, bummer, but other wise pretty clean. The location is fantastic, near a shuttle stop. They could stand to shovel the walk-ways completely. I took a marked path down to the rec building but it was not shoveled right at the road. I had to either turn back and go all the way around or cross the snow drift that came up to my waist. Did I mention I had my 2 year old with me. Fun times! But it was more of an adventure than an inconvenience. I thought the kitchen tools, pots and pans could really use some updating. There were no baking sheets and the only skillet was no good for making pancakes in. It would have been nice if their was salt and pepper too so make sure to pack some. The TV came with a DVD player and cable. Thanks a bunch for that! We had 2 teenagers and a toddle and it was a life saver to have a selection to watch on TV. It would have been super if there was a TV upstairs in the bedroom too.
the only complaint is the bed was uncomfortable. I think the mattress was old and we rolled to the middle of the bed. most of the other furniture looked new.
