“A unique place to just get away and relax”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2016

We were looking for a place to bring our 2 small dogs and happened to see this house..so glad we did. It is quite unique. Imagine waking up every morning and hearing the loons on the lake and watching the sun glisten on the water as the fog lifts from the hills beyond. It may seem remote to some, but we didn't find it that way. The house itself is unique..it's kept very clean but it was so comfortable. One definitely could tell it is owned and decorated by an artist. The spiral staircase was pretty cool. Being a bit larger I was leery at first as to the sturdiness of it but had no problem going up and down. The beds upstairs were comfortable and there's a bathroom on both floors. There was a deck outside overlooking the lake and a really nice yard. The owner, Ken, stayed in his studio on the property. He was there if we needed him but was by no means intrusive. We enjoyed having conversations with him when we saw him. This was a great place to just kick back and relax. There's wifi for anyone that needs to stay connected. Would we stay here again ? Definitely yes.

“Great, quiet (winter) cottage”

Reviewed 19 Jan 2015

I've stayed at this cottage two years in a row in the winter for a weekend with my girlfriend. Even though it was freezing outside all weekend, we had a great time relaxing together at the cottage. The fireplace is great, the beds are comfortable, and the claw foot bathtub is a personal favourite. There's even a piano for the more musically inclined.
