Very Good

“Splendid - Could not have been better.”

Jordan and Deb are some of the finest hosts you could ever meet. Right from the moment we meet till our last bag was put into the cab on our departure date, we were treated with perfection. Their place is so well kept and equipped. Great part of town to be in. Thanks so very much. Lyndon, Carolyn and Hunter

“Something for everyone”

Lisbon is a stunning city, 4 nights wasn't long enough. Casa Villa Serra is a tranquil gem within walking distance of great shops / restaurants, so long as you don't mind walking up/down hills. I'd have liked more time to simply chill in the house, it's both homely and luxurious with fantastic views from the terrace. We ate in mostly, as the kitchen is fully equipped and it seemed a shame to waste the view! The villa wouldn't be the best for someone with mobility problems but otherwise it's perfect. Only 2 of us stayed, with more occupants it would be even better value. Jordon was very helpful.

“Even better than the great website!”

Hosts, house, location, atmosphere - Casa Villa Serra exceeded all our expectations. We'll definitely be back.

“Perfect and sooo central”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2012

We can't say enough great things about Casa Villa Serra. The location is absolutely fantastic - we walked to Chiado, Barrio alto, downtown etc. We easily took the subway to alfama and the tram over to Belem. The train station is very very close for day trips. Jordan was fantastic at recommending restaurants and giving you the history and lay of the land. As for the place itself we had two families (4 adults and 2 kids, one toddler and it was perfect space. The terrace is the best selling feature. We would highly recommend this location.

“Casa Villa Serra is a real Lisbon treat”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2012

Our travel group included 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 kids aged 14 and 10. We spent 5 nights at Casa Villa Serra. It is located on one of the 7 hills of Lisbon. The house is a fully updated 100 year old house in a middle class neighborhood with all conveniences within easy walking distance. The Klebers live about 5 houses away and provide an informative, friendly introductory walk through the neighborhood and down the hill into downtown Lisbon where restaurant recommendations and other resources are shared within the first hour or so of your arrival. The house has 3 levels. The top level has an outstanding patio overlooking Lisbon. The kitchen is fully adequate for cooking in. Everything is modern and comfortable. Wireless internet works perfectly. The best part of Casa Villa Serra is the immediate integration into Lisbon life with bakeries, coffee shops, sundries, wine and beer and many dining possibilities so even if your stay is short, you get a feel for "real" Lisbon. The Klebers are very helpful with recommendations for tours and using public transportation. Overall, our stay at Casa Villa Serra couldn't have been better.

“After a day's sightseeing, we loved coming back to a bit of trad”

We'd been looking forward to our trip for some time - and it didn't disappoint. Jordan was there as we got out of our taxi to show us around the house and point out the local landmarks. A very friendly reception, which we appreciated after a delayed flight. The house itself was extremely well appointed and we were grateful for the air-conditioning during the brief heatwave. Being on top of a hill, the views of the city, especially from the terrace, were spectacular. In the narrow local streets, you got a real feel for how life has been for hundreds of years. Lots of small cafes offering incredibly good value - the local custard tarts were particularly tempting. It was a ten minute walk (downhill) to the city centre, and you could always get a taxi if you didn't fancy the uphill walk home.

“Wonderful accommodations and terrific hosts”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2012

Before booking this location, I was concerned that the location was too far off the beaten path, however Casa Villa Serra is actually in a prime location with easy access to all historic sites and neighborhoods. We easily walked to alfama, Barrio alto, Chiado and Biaxa. The house itself is immaculate and is probably only one of the few rentals to have a rooftop terrace with wonderful views of Lisbon. The linens and beds are of high quality and Jordan is on hand to answer any questions or requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisbon and enjoyed the hospitality of Jordan and Deb.

“Excellent - Ausgezeichnet :-))”
