“Grand Experience”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2014

The stay at St.John's was wonderful and the place was exactly as advertised. It is the perfect blend of the "homey" comfortable and the eclectic atmosphere of the city. It can be noisey as advertised but not unreasonably so and the white noise equipment helps. Restaurants galore close by as are the bus routes. Comfortable beds, everything you need in the apartment. Really really comfortble and accomodating lodging. If we return to Seattle and there is space available we will certainl stay there. Thanks much fo making our stay so enjoyable. Response from the owner Thanks so much for your kind review, Mike and Judith! We would LOVE to host you again, anytime. All the best, Christine

“Great place to stay in Capitol Hill!!”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2014

We loved this apartment! It's warm and cozy. It has been a couple of weeks since we stayed there, but we still remember those days with such fond memories. Nice bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms - couldn't ask for more. Also, if you're looking for a brunch place, Wandering Goose is the place! My friend from D.C. loved it!

“I’ll never stay anywhere else”

Reviewed 24 Jan 2014

Our stay literally could not have been better. Christine, the manager, was friendly, helpful to a fault and so understanding when our flight was cancelled and we needed to stay another night. Even though we needed to change apartments, she made the move seamless. In fact, it was fun getting to stay in one of the other apartments. From the location it is so easy to get to anywhere in the city, without getting into traffic if you are driving or use the easy access to multiple bus routes nearby. Both apartments were extremely well appointment. Coming from our home in the woods to an apartment on a city street (although a quiet one by city standards), we especially appreciated the white noise box in each bedroom. We will be back.

“Fantastic”

My wife and I along with our 2 kids recently stayed at St. John's and it was first rate. The place was spacious, the furnishings comfortable and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I was afraid my kids would miss not having a pool but it never came up. They really liked this place and look forward to staying there next time we are up in Seattle.

“Perfect!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

These beds are so comfortable, but the best part were the sheets, which were the best I've ever slept on (and, I have stayed at my share of upscale hotels). Check in and check out were a breeze. Johnny was very accommodating. The grocery store across the street was very convenient.

“Great place in Capitol Hill”

We stayed at the apartment number 309 and found it very accomidating. It was well maintained and had all the amenities that one needs while on vacation. The wi-fi worked well and was located about a mile from Pike's Market a easy downhill walk. The neighborhood was alive and very diverse. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean nice place for a week or more stay. Outstanding.

“Seattle experience”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2013

Our accommodations were perfect. The amenities were great. Apartment was very clean and beds were wonderful to sleep on. Noise did not bother us as we knew ahead of time what to expect. Great places to eat. Enjoyed our trip and we would definitely recommend St. Johns apartment to anyone.

“Convenient Conference accommodations”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2013

I rented apartment 309 while in Seattle for a conference at the Conference Center. I shared it with two other people. Love that it has two bathrooms so we didn't have to worry about getting ready. It was an easy walk to and from the conference site. Qvc market just across the street, lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Victrola Coffee is the place on Pike for excellently prepared coffee. We enjoyed the night life in the neighborhood. Christine met me and allowed me to stow my luggage early because I had a meeting to attend prior to check in time. She even moved my bags to the apartment after it had been vacated by the previous party and cleaned. She answered all questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The building is very well maintained and clean. Love the art, transom installations of minifigs and photos. Unlike staying in a hotel, no neighbor noise at night. The street noise was not an issue for us. Having the ability to park behind the building with a parking pass was great. We really didn't need our cars because everything we wanted to do was nearby but we drove to Seattle. The second bedroom is small and it was stuffy when we stayed there. It was unusually warm for Seattle that week and the fan in the room didn't move the air as much as I would have liked. The window aC units were great during the "heat wave." This was a very economical place to stay for our conference with the cost of the apartment per night being well under the cost of staying in a hotel. We could spread out, have our private space when needed, and it is so close to everything. I have family in the area and usually stay with them when visiting Seattle but if there was a decision between staying in a hotel or at St. John's apartments, I'd choose this apartment.

“Great stay in Seattle.”

Arrived 8pm Saturday evening. No problems getting into apartment. We were very pleased with the location and the cleanliness of the apartment. We were able to walk and use the buses to see Seattle. There is a Grocery store on the corner with a Starbucks that we visited daily. Saturday night was a little noisy because of all the activity on the street but it was great being in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay here again.
