We drove up to Sonoma from Palo alto with another couple last Friday evening and when we crossed the threshold, we felt instantly relaxed. Everything was in perfect order, beautiful and functional (a winning combination)! The location was perfect for walking to the square for a delicious Saturday morning breakfast. The logistics were seamless. We'd love to go back soon and stay longer.

This cottage is absolutely perfect . . . great location, clean, two updated bathrooms, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and pillows, a well stocked updated kitchen, backyard with flowers, paved patio, and hot tub. A wonderful house to share with friends and family.

“Cottage Sonoma - Fantastic”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

We stayed in Sonoma for a week and were a bit concerned since there was five of us and we never really know what to expect when we arrive some place that states it can handle our "tribe". Well this quaint cottage surpassed all our expectations. It is nicely furnished and thougtfully laid out with plenty of information for first time visitors on the local establishments. They took the time to make up a binder of all the local restaurants and maps galore. The cottage itself was located within walking distance to the cute town square. The beds were amazingly comfortable and my wife wants to know where they got their pillows from so she can buy them for home -- it was that comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone needing a nice comfortable stay in the hear of wine country.

“Awesome place and close to downtown!!”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2013

We had an amazing time at Cottage Sonoma!! It was really clean and had everything we needed. It was great for two couples and very spacious. The best part about it was that it was a half bock to downtown. The location could not have been better!! We would def. stay at this place again!!!

“Ladies Getaway”

Reviewed 21 May 2013

I have now stayed at each of the properties owned by Byron Jones, and have never been dissapointed. The locations, the attention to detail the immaculate care taken in each house wonderful! There were 5 of us ladies on this trip and the Kitchen and patio areas were our gathering spots in the mornings and after we came home from our excellent meals... Meritage... Girl & The Fig both walking distance ... French Laundry, and auberge in Napa With 5 ladies we could have used 1 more bathroom... but no complaints, as this was just lovely. You cannot go wrong with any of these properties as they are clean, neat, well equipped in the kitchens, decorated to be light and airy, but comfortable for a group. At this cottage the back yard garden was blooming with many beautiful colors of flowers. Can't wait till we return

Great location, comfortable house. Ideal for a break in Sonoma.

“Best location- Excellent House for a group”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2012

This house is literally a block away from some of the great restaurants of Sonoma and the town center, which gave us so much freedom to not have to drive. It was especially good for a group of us who needed to come and go as we pleased. Enough space for 6 people, and a nice kitchen with coffee in the morning. The rooms are great, clean, and the bathrooms are well lit. Definitely recommend to anyone!

“Super Cozy with all the amenities”

Reviewed 18 Dec 2011

It feels like having your own beautifully kept, cozy home right in the heart of Sonoma! It's a two-minute walk from the front door to the historic town plaza, where you find wine tasting rooms, cafes, wonderful restaurants, book stores, gift shops, and much more! Eat there, or make a trip to the store and prepare a great meal in the spacious, modern kitchen, making sure to enjoy a therapeutic soak in the (private) back-yard hot tub afterward! A quick drive to numerous wineries, state parks, and nature in abundance! But also only an hour to get over the Golden Gate Bridge and into San Francisco. You can't go wrong!

“Exceeded Our Expectations & More”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2011

I am hesitant to write this great review because this place is so great I want to keep it a secret!!! The pictures on the website do not even do this place justice... One of our dearest friends was getting married this weekend. We (my boyfriend and our two friends) searched and searched for the perfect place to stay. Came across Bungalow Sonoma. Pricing is extremely comptetive compared to other inns and hotels in the area. We immediately booked this place. Very Impressed with the cleanliness. Up to date appliances, countertops, hardwood flooring etc. Great wrap around porch Front yard/backyard - plenty of seating Windows provide impecable lighting. Location location location! 2 minutes walk to the center of downtown! We walked everywhere! Short taxi ride to the vineyards. Ie: Viansa - 7 minutes Buena Vista - 5-7 minutes This place is extremely afforable. Between us four, for 2 nights, it was cheaper than one night anywehre else. Very comfortable stay and I felt as if it were my own home. Will be coming back very soon & staying here.

“A Great Place To Celebrate Turning 40!”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2011

This cottage met and exceded our expectations, by far! The location is perfect, 1 block from the center of town, which is full of great restaurants. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, very well stocked, everything we could ask for! It's not huge, but it's beautifully decorated and updated, it was perfect for our party of 5. We used the hot tub every night, in the picture perfect backyard that has a lime tree and a rosemary bush and smells like heaven! The grill is a great feature, although we didn't get to use it. 1 block from Whole Foods, it was so convenient. We loved Cottage Sonoma and will tell all of our friends about it! For a great price, great location, adorable cottage, it was the best place for 4 friends from college to ring in our 40s! We will be back!
