“Lovely apartment and owners”
Our stay in CanalHome was perfect. The apartment is very good, clean, spacious, beautiful. It is in a wonderful place, very close do Amsterdam city center and to Museumplein and Vondelpark. More important: Nurit & Alex are a lovely couple and helped in everything we need. Alex even helped me in buying a baby buggy via Internet, to be delivered some days before our arrival. We couldn't feel more comfortable.
Very nice and spacious apartment with huge windows, which I worried about falling out of!! Bed and sofa were very comfortable and it was very nice to sit out on the balcony. The location was great, we were able to walk to restaurants, supermarkets and attractions. Nurit was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She was also keen to give us advice on places to go and to attempt to fix any problems we may have had. We would love to stay there again!!
I was travelling with my 19 year old daughter and amsterdam was at the end of our three and a half week journey. When booking our accomodation for our trip the criteria was walking distance to shops and restaurants ,close to transport, close to night life(for my daughter)nice apartment with heating(we where there in December)We'll this apartment ticked all the boxes.Nurit was very welcoming helping us with our luggage, giving us maps of the city and explaining how to get to the supermarket. The apartment is lovely very cosy lovely lounge area with two large windows looking out to the canal very bright ,even in winter ,plenty of closet space in the bedroom.great kitchen plenty of everything ,also a nice selection of teas where in the kitchen.Bathroom smallish but adequate .Nutric always delivered clean towels which was great .This area is fantastic so close to everything we walked everywhere,we even walked to Central there is so much to see along the way ,also in the other direction is Volendam park .The bus to the airport is easy to walk to ,even with all our luggage. All in all I would highly recommend this apartment we will defiantly be returning. One last thing the steps to the apartment are extremely steep there is no lift so if you have problems with stairs this may not be the place to stay.
“Lovely apartment in good location”
My daughter and I stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly liked having the small balcony to be able to sit outside with a glass of wine. Nurit and alex were perfect hosts and provided us with lots of information on the area. We hope to come again one day!
“Stylish apartment overlooking canal within easy walking distance”
We really liked the feel of this second floor apartment which has been tastefully furnished by the owners Nurit and alex. The owners live above the apartment and were always on hand to help or answer any questions we had. Nurit went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even provided a Christmas tree with decorations for the festive period! The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons and basic cooking essentials: oil, vinegar etc, also tea and coffee bags for the special coffee machine. Likewise the bathroom was supplied with shampoo, shower creme etc. There is no washing machine but Nurit happily offered to do our washing and returned it washed and dried the next day. There are 36 steep stairs up to the apartment but this is quite normal in the older buildings in amsterdam and you soon get used to it. The only minor quibble is the very small hand basin in the bathroom but there is another one in the bedroom to compensate for this. The greatest compliment we can pay is that we would definitely choose to stay there again - it was a warm and comfortable space to return to every day.
Excellent location and apartment, highly recommended. Very friendly and helpful owners too.
We had a great time in amsterdam and the apartment was perfect. It is spacious, welcoming, with a great view and well equipped. It is central and close to all attractions and in the same time is quiet and comfortable for a good sleep. Alex and Nurit made it really simple to check in and check out. Everything we needed was at our disposal. I really recommend the apartment and we would definitely return.
“Great apartment in an excellent location.”
Large, clean bright apartment. Close to restaurants, shops, museums etc. Great hosts. Very helpful. Great recommendation on renting the small power boat to tour the canals on our own. Easy walk to all attractions. Lovely back balcony over looking the garden for breakfast or drinks in the evening. Steep stairs but hey this is amsterdam.
“Wonderful host, apartment and location in central amsterdam.”
Nurit is very helpful and great communicator - she made everything very simple for us. We loved the apartment - it's spacious, had a great view of the canal on the street and gardens in the back. The location can't be beat. We were easily able to walk to anyplace in central amsterdam. One small thing that kind of took our breath away when we arrived after a long overseas flight was the "Amsterdam" stairs...quite daunting at first, particularly with luggage, but we grew fond of them in no time:)
“Great Stay at the Canal Home”
We recently stayed at the Canal Home while we were in amsterdam. This is the perfect little home away from home. The spacious living room is wonderful with large windows. The kitchen even has a few essentials so preparing your won means is a breeze. Nurit is fantastic - very warm and helpful. She had a number of great resources for us to help make the most of our trip - map, lonely plant guide, binder of suggested restaurants and bike shops.
