“Beautiful house, gorgeous countryside, gracious host”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2014

This is a beautiful authentic Tuscan villa set in the lush Tuscan hills. It is close to Florence - only a short bus ride away - as well as other lovely Tuscan towns. The grounds and house are beautifully managed by the gracious hostess, Veronica who couldn't have been more helpful. A must do is a private cooking lesson with Veronica - truly a memorable experience.

“Amazing family vacation!”

Our week vacation at Villa La Quercia surpassed our expectations. Veronica and Margherita were most gracious hosts. The Villa was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The views were amazing. We had planned a butler served dinner the evening of our arrival which after a long day of travel was delightful. The meal included wine from their vineyard and olive oil from their olive trees. The food was home cooked by Veronica and delicious. The location of the Villa was perfect. It was a comfortable bus ride into Florence and a short car ride to Sienna and other small villages in the area. We strongly recommend this beautiful Villa for your vacation in Tuscany!

“Comfort and charm in Tuscany”

A beautiful authentic Italian villa, in the midst of the Tuscan countryside. All the benefits of being "off the grid", while in close proximity to the wonders of Florence and Siena, and numerous spectacular Tuscan villages. The property is exactly as it is described; the views are spectacular from each and every window. The home is immaculate and the owner is attentive without crowding you.

“Perfect retreat in the heart of Tuscany”

My husband, our five boys (age range 14 -3) just spent five days in Impruneta. We loved our stay. Veronica and Margherita went way above and beyond - we felt pampered the whole time and yet we also felt like we were totally secluded at times. Veronica is an amazing cook - our best meal in all of Italy was when we cooked with her. The house is lovely and the vistas are inspiring. We had just spent 4.5 days in Rome, which was awesome. And while we did take a few day trips, we mostly relaxed inside and outside the house. It was the perfect place to recharge. All the kids asked if we could go back there someday, perhaps when they can enjoy the pool a bit more. (The pool was lovely, but the weather in the summer is better suited to outdoor pool time in Tuscany.) We played a lot of soccer on the mini field (anyone with kids will appreciate that the house was equally comfortable and offered loads of places to walk, run around and play soccer!). Our only challenge was in deciding whether to be completely honest in our review because we want to be sure that Villa La Quercia will be available for us the next time we want to visit! Thank you to both Veronica and Margherita - we hope to see you again soon!!

“Paradise!”

My wife and I visited Italy mid-August 2013...it was a truly amazing trip! We wanted to stay close to Florence but also enjoy the Tuscan countryside we had heard so much about...That's when we came across Villa La Quercia in our search for a Private villa... La Quercia is Spectacular! The property is amazing. We would walk through the vineyards and olive groves, and just take in the incredible landscape and tranquility surrounding us. We would often just sit outside on the terrace enjoying the Tuscan air. We ate plenty of our meals outside on the terrace. The private pool was great to come home to after a long day of exploring Italy. It was both refreshing and relaxing after a long fun-filled day. What really made our stay as great as it was, was the hospitality provided by the owner Veronica and her daughter, Marguerite...they were the best hostesses we've ever encountered during our travels...and we travel a lot. They are willing to help in any way and are sure to allow you your privacy. We highly recommend you don't pass up the opportunity to have a butlered served dinner cooked by Veronica right at the villa. She's an amazing cook! We enjoyed our first meal in Italy sitting under the Tuscan stars enjoying a four course meal (that included a bottle of the estate's own Chianti) served by a butler. It was truly one of the best meals we've ever had! And speaking of cooking...you can't pass up Veronica's cooking class either. Veronica offers cooking classes in her cooking studio that is on the property as well. On our last night at La Quercia, we took a cooking class with Veronica and she had us prepare our own 4 course dinner that we had chosen with her, including making our own pasta from scratch...the end result was mouth watering... We highly recommend La Quercia and we can't wait to go back...Thanks Veronica and Marguerite for a fantastic holiday! We have never encountered such warm and generous hosts. We hope to see you both again real soon! :-) -Eric

Je garderais de mon séjour à la Quercia la beauté des paysages, le calme de la maison, les odeurs du jardin, de la cuisine de Véronica avec toutes ses attentions qui font de ce séjour un moment merveilleux.

Veronica, thank you for an amazing week of food, friends, and discovery. We all had an amazing time, your house is beautiful, the grounds immaculate, the cooking school enlightening, and your graciousness heart warming. You and Impruneta will always hold a special place in my heart!! A perfect Tuscan dream holiday and I look forward to returning! Carol Ketelson

“A Taste of Tusacany: One Week in Paradise”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2013

Two families of four, including four college aged children, enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing vacation in this 17th century renovated villa in the heart of Tuscany. Everything from the location to the beautiful and spacious accommodations to the peace and quiet of living in your own Italian villa with an outdoor pool, created an ambience of ease and comfort throughout the seven days we stayed here. The most enjoyable part of the trip was venturing into Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, and a wine tasting excursion, and coming back to a clean and fun atmosphere. This is a place that everyone can enjoy from adults to teenagers to children (our soccer fanatic teens really enjoyed the soccer field located below the winefields in the backyard with a spectacular view!). We highly recommend this for anyone of any age looking for a relaxing, exciting, and truly authentic taste of Italy.

“A great family vacation in a beautiful and relaxing setting”

Villa La Quercia is comfortable and charming. We loved the private pool. We enjoyed having coffee on the patio in the morning and gathering around the kitchen table at night to discuss the day's events. We felt the location, close to Florence, provided easy access to the hill towns of central Italy. Veronica was an excellent host, baking us goodies and taking us to the best wine tasting I've ever had. Given the opportunity, we would definitely return.

“Tranquility , with easy access to Tuscany”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2013

I highly recommend Villa la Quercia for a stay in Italy. It is a short bus ride into Florence as well as a starting point to visit many other areas of Tuscany. Villa la Quercia is a labor of love for Veronica and I saw it every day, The Villa is exactly what I pictured a Villa in Italy would be. It is architecturally beautiful, has magnificent views of the country side, and offers tranquility and privacy. I spent a week there with my husband and other family. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay was available from a functioning kitchen to a private, immaculate swimming pool. Veronica, the owner, provided us with places to go for food, fun and history and I was never disappointed. She made certain we had the privacy we were looking for but also made us feel very welcome. She even baked treats for us. I hope to go back to Villa la Quercia sometime in the future and share it with others. It is truly a pleasant retreat that we called home for a week.
