“Casa Litibu is a a Dream Come True!!!”
Casa Litibu is a dream, and Bonnie was an angel to work with. The manager Ricardo is available on site every day and keeps the house and gardens in impeccable running order, which is impressive, as the house is in a private remote location. I was was only musing over the idea of traveling to Mexico to work on my book, but when i saw Casa Litibu online, I fell in love, and knew it would be the perfect place for my creative getaway. I stayed in Casa Litibu for one month, and I never tired of it for a moment. There are so many different nooks and areas to enjoy as the time of day shifts, and it's easy to develop an intimate relationship with the ocean and it's natural biorhythm. I explored the area, and it truly is the best beach around. It's practically private most of the time- which is rare and hard to achieve anywhere in the world. The house is nestled in an undeveloped area in between the Four Seasons and another high end resort, both about a miles trek in either direction, but often I would have total privacy right out front Casa Litibu. If you are looking for a blissful sanctuary in a pristine jungle where you can get intimate with the ocean, this is the house for you. There are a few neighbors in Litibu, and they were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. It's easy an easy trek to the beautiful towns of Sayulita and San Pancho, so you can enjoy your privacy and still be close to town to get all that it offers. The photos do not due the house justice, and I was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival. The house is stocked with all the ocean items that you would need - boogie boards, snorkels, fins, etc. and the house had every thing that I needed for day to day life. The wifi was suprisingly strong and functional for the remote location and never faltered all month! I felt like I got a lot for the money I paid, Ricardo kept everything running perfectly in the house, and i didn't have to lift a finger the entire time I was there. True Luxury!
“Epic open view of most most amazing sunsets I've seen!”
I wrote the first review and the second one is from my friend who was staying with us! I love Casa Litibu! It's such a special place to find peace, balance, and see some of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen! The house was clean, modern, spacious, and has a gorgeous garden! The house was also stocked with a lot of kitchen ware, from plastic wine cups to a toaster! Bonnie is on it! I love how helpful, resourceful, and valuable Ricardo the property manager is too! They both made us feel at home and took care of us very generously and gracefully. I love how close the property is to the beach. I totally felt at peace in the deserted beach. Casa Litibu is a special home for those seeking quality blissful time with nature. Brendan, an electrical engineer and farmer from the United States, and avid waterman, wrote the following: "I was more than impressed with Bonnies property! The gardens were immaculate, kitchen well stocked with utensils and appliances, bedrooms climate controlled, and the house in general was in great shape! Ricardo, the groundskeeper, was very polite and helpful, adding to our experience with his local knowledge of the beaches and fisheries. Though the surf wasn't the best out in front of Litibu, I found both the surf fishing and freediving to be excellent, with 30-40' water visibility, and large schools of Jack Crevalle and Roosterfish frequenting the water on a daily basis.I would definitely stay at Casa Litibu next time I visit the area!."
The owner, Bonnie, and the property manager, Ricardo, made sure our trip was a perfect one before we even arrived. Bonnie arranged for a daily babysitter, Lilly, to assist us every day with cooking, cleaning, and taking care of our two boys so we could spend more time relaxing. Upon arrival, Ricardo arranged a wonderful welcome meal of authentic and delicious chile rellenos, soup, rice, beans, and tortillas. Our first reaction upon arrival was that the website pictures--while impressive--did not do this beautiful home and its gorgeous surroundings justice! From the minute we stepped inside we felt transformed by the picturesque views, the warm tropical air, and the sound of the gently crashing waves from the white, sandy beach directly across the road. Upon unpacking, we noticed the attention to detail the homeowners took in making every room unique, attractive, and comfortable. The surroundings provided the perfect, romantic setting for our 10-year wedding anniversary. But we also brought our two boys to enjoy a family vacation together. Fortunately, entertainment was only minutes and a short drive away into the quaint town of Sayulita for snorkeling, zip lining, and aTV riding. The town was also full of delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants when we wanted to eat out, although the house was fully equipped for cooking when we wanted to stay in and have Ricardo's wife prepare another delicious meal for us or do it ourselves. And every day, the boys enjoyed swimming and playing in the pool at home or in the beach across the street, where they also learned how to body surf and boogie board. On the few unfortunate occasions when work called, cell phone service and wireless internet access were seamless and reliable. We stayed for 10 glorious days and couldn't have asked for a better setting to enjoy a wonderful family vacation! Thank you Casa Litibu. We'll be back, and we'll be telling all our friends and family about you as well.
“Wonderful home by the ocean”
We loved this trip, as it was totally different than anything we had done before. The house is really only about 50 yards (a one minute walk) from the beach and Bonnie provided beach chairs, boogie boards (my son loved them), sand toys and a beach umbrella. The view of the beach from the house is as breathtaking as it looks in the photos. It is also very secluded -- so if you are looking for quiet and to be away from the busy bustle of a city -- it is perfect. There are several other beautiful houses in the immediate area, but the beach felt mostly private and hosts huge waves, perfect for surfing, swimming and boarding -- we really loved the time at the water. We went into either Punta de Mita (15 min) or Sayulita (20 min) almost every night for dinner and shopping, so that was fun. If you want to cook, you can stock up on food at the Mega on the way into town. There is no dishwasher, but we did not mind doing dishes. The furnishings are beautiful and clean and there are lots of open-air spaces in the house. The sound of the ocean at night was incredibly relaxing. We did have a short term problem with mosquitos but the house manager (who is great) sprayed a few times and that seemed to help a lot. Down the beach they are mid-building a large resort called La Tranquilla - it's about a 30 minute walk (or short drive) with some incredible pools, so that is fun walk (and you can have lunch there). We had massages at Bonnie's suggestion at the attached Haixa spa, which also hosts a lovely pool. There is horseback riding in the area and we went into Nuevo Vallarta (45 min) for a dolphin swim experience that the kids adored. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend to a family or group who is sick of the resort world and looking for a beautiful home by the water with lots of peace and quiet. One last recommendation is to rent a car that can handle some rough roads, as the last part of the journey to the house is unpaved.
“Want a Beautiful Beach To Yourself?”
Casa Litibu is your place. This well appointed home has incredible views of the white sandy beach from every room. Riccardo, the house manager, took very good care of my group. The swimming pool is refreshing and the garden is beautiful. I could get used to falling asleep every night to the sound of crashing surf!!! The towns of Punta de Mita and Sayulita are down the road a few miles away. There are excellent restaurants to explore. We enjoyed the spa and Greg Norman designed golf course at the Litibu resort. And of course there are lots of great surf breaks to check out nearby. All in all, we found Casa Litibu to be a restful, relaxing vacation spot!
