“Great accommodation in excellent location”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2015

From the start we were impressed with the booking process and how smooth everything went. Heeten was always quick to respond and very helpful throughout the process. The booking was very professional and well arranged, we knew exactly what was happening and what to do from the start till we checked out. We would highly recommend the rental to all who are looking for a neat, well decorated, organised, quiet and very spacious lodge styled accommodation. The accomodation looks just like the pictures. Nothing better than relaxing on the deck while watching the sunset over the mountains. The golf course, restaurant and ammeneties at the lodge are excellent and you will not be disappointed!

“What a find!”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2015

Not only was the Swagat lodge a wonderful and convenient place to stay near Kruger Park, the owner was so helpful in coordinating a once-in-lifetime vacation for us! We loved Kruger and saw some amazing wildlife thanks to the guides that were set up for us. It was truly a beautiful place to visit and I will be returning when I can!

Response from the owner I am so glad to hear you had a wonderful time. I really enjoyed putting together a safari trip that met your group's needs. It was a pleasure working with you and I am so glad you had amazing animal sightings. We can't wait to have you back. Regards, Heeten

“Peaceful Pleasure”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2015

From the initial (excellent) contact with the owner this was a seamless and enjoyable experience. Swagat at Kruger Park Lodge is well positioned between, gate, reception and Hippo pool, allowing tranquillity and ease of access to all. Kruger Park gates are within easy drive and the owner provides excellent recommendations for safari guides. The lodge is very spacious and well provided for all needs. It is very easy to fire up the Braai and allow the charcoal to reach optimum temperature while sipping your beverage of choice gazing at the often spectacular sunsets from your stoep. It was a most pleasurable stay and we will certainly return and thoroughly recommend this lodge with reservation.

“Great stay in Kruger region”

Reviewed 28 Jan 2015

Loved our stay in Kruger Park Lodge. The unit is suitable for a family of 4 and on the whole is very comfortable. Reception where helpful and friendly also. The pool area could use some attention as the pool was pretty dirty. We had two Safaris included in our stay. They arrived on time and were a great experience. The lodge is approx. 20 mins from the closest gate and approx. 1 hour from the main gate that we entered for our day safari. It is also about 45 mins from Sabie (you should definitely go there!).

“Does not get any better”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2015

This is a great place to be, close to Kruger for self-drives and/or guided safaris. House is great, on the golf course which is a very interesting place to play. Owner is great to work with, easy to make reservations and helps with plans for getting there and information on safari, local shopping and restaurants. On the drive from Jo’berg, we stopped as suggested at Milly’s and it was exactly what we needed as we were still a bit apprehensive about driving in S.A. We arrived at Kruger Park Lodge with no difficulties and were happy to be there. The entire complex was enjoyable and the staff in the lodge were very friendly and accommodating. We ate one dinner and a lunch there and the food was nice. We walked all over the complex and really enjoyed the different houses and sections of entertainment areas. Our favorite was the river and the hippo hide. We even played 9 holes of golf one day, renting clubs as we had not brought our own. The home is so comfortable and so well located close to Kruger and shopping and dining. It does not get any better!

“Fantastic stay in Kruger Park Lodge”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2015

We have just spend our Christmas and New Year in South Africa with our daughters and their partners. We rented Swagat from Heeten and it was fantastic. Heeten was so helpful and everything worked perfect. The service of Kruger Park Lodge was extremely professional. The house is modern with modern appliances. We used the barbecue and even cooked christmas dinner there. It was really nice staying in a compound in the evening. we used the swimming pool near by, we could look at golfers playing right outside our windows. It was just so good. We can only recommend Swagat and the description of it on the internet, fits perfectly.

“an ideal location with great facilities that exceeded our expectations”

the resort had all the necessary facilities I enjoy. the set up of the resort was excellent with great view and the golf course was pristine . We made the most of all facilities and the staff were always accommodating and very helpful

“Beautiful house and park, excellent location, a unforgettable experience!”

The whole package was complete at Swagat Lodge. Starting with excellent contact with the owner, which didn’t stop after payment but actually increased, complements for that Heetan. Especially thinking we miscalculated our stay by one day, but even that was solved before we realized. The accommodation met all our expectations, and more. The park is beautiful, quiet and we felt at home far away from home. Thank you, and we will defiantly be back.

“Our stay at Swagat was an incomparable experience.”

Staying at Heeten and Jenny's in the Kruger Park Lodge was actually perfect. We arrived at sunset to see the hippos cavorting and egrets landing at the Hippo Hide across from their place. It's a colorful 10 minutes down the road from the Phabeni Gate, leading us into a fabulous stretch of Kruger Park, the S1. The first morning we were greeted by three young male lions, the next morning by a pair of rhinos, then a pack of wild dogs for the evening night drive. Over four days, we saw so many amazing wildlife sights. Our accommodations were excellent, including the spacious living space, self-catering kitchen, tasteful decor, and immaculate rooms. Hazyview has charm as well, including nearby shops. We had superior meals at several places along the Sabie River, which runs past the lodge.
