“Great location and view”
Very comfortable condo. The location is perfect and the view is gorgeous. Its nice that the kids have two individual beds on the loft. The "queen bed" feels small. I am used to a king bed and that may be the reason. This unit doesn't have a stove, so you cant cook any eggs in the morning. The kitchenette is small but good enough for a vacation rental. The rental only provided two hotel sized soap bars for the 1 week. We are a family of 4 so we ran out half way through our vacation and when they did the mid-week cleanup they didn't replace the soap. We had to go to the market and get a bar of soap.
Response from the manager Thank you for your review of your stay in Blue Mesa 40C. It sounds like it was a great value for your family. We are sorry to hear that you ran short on soap. On future stays, please feel free to call our office and we will be do our best to accommodate any requests.
Stayed here for a wedding. The room was awesome! Sleeps 4 comfortably. One large bed for a couple, two single beds up on the loft for kids/others.
“Nice, clean place to stay.”
Check in/out was easy. Very clean and nicely equipped. Price was very reasonable. We were able to view an evening concert and enjoy the festiveness right from our room. First time visiting Telluride area and this condo contributed to making the trip enjoyable.
Response from the manager We are so pleased to hear that you had a good stay and we hope this is the first trip of many!
“Professional and polite and very helpful”
Very pleased, highly recommend them as a first choice
“Unit 40C: Strange Use of Space”
I suppose the only positive thing about this unit is that it was very clean. We had two adults and two kids in our party and the two adults didn't sleep much in the tiny double bed. One kid slept fine in his twin bed in the loft, but the one who had to be crammed underneath the sky light got no sleep at all. I had suggested she come downstairs and sleep on the couch (not included in the photo for some reason) because at least then she'd be able to stretch out without the vaulted ceiling being right above her head. That twin bed should not be there. This unit is for a party of 3 at the most. The spiral stairs are fun for kids, but you can't carry any luggage up there, so all luggage has to stay downstairs in the already cluttered, tiny space. The connecting door to the unit next door was unlocked & we heard the people in the unit next door opening theirs, so we were concerned someone would let themselves into our unit but we're pretty sure they didn't since we put a bag in front of the door. We found ourselves questioning what drugs the architect must have been on to design such a strange layout--there's no way you could fix it and arrange the furniture differently. We also found ourselves questioning why anyone would purposely buy such a unit. We had assumed the owner uses the unit sometimes during ski season but why? If you've got the money, spend it on something that makes sense! Even if I won the lottery and enjoyed skiing, I wouldn't throw my money away on such a waste of space! Anyway, there wasn't much else to find by way of lodging for our family and this was about it. In the future, we will just breeze through Telluride and stay in another town. Oh, one other positive thing: the gentleman we found by accident in town at their office (I never got any instructions as to how to get into this unit) was very friendly and accommodating. He gave me all the codes necessary and a map which told us how to find our unit.
“take to long time to get the room”
we ordered this room by internett we didnt got any meassage on the reservations message that we should get the key in town if we arrived after 6p.m. We arrived after 6.p.m and we should get the key in a box in towm, but we didnt find it. we called a phone nr but we didnt get any aswer and we left a message so that they could call back to us, but they didnt. after and hour we called back, and the lady in the phone wasnt so easy to understand, she was not good to explain. we used two hours to get the key :( . when we came to the room they had just cleaned the carpet sow we couldnt stay there, all the floor was wet. we had to call back to this lady, and she first said ofcourse you can stay there, but we said no, and after some time we got another room, and it was very good. We used almost three hours to get our room and that is not good.
Response from the manager We are very sorry to hear about the difficulty you had checking into your condo. It sounds like we were able to get you into a nice room after some misunderstandings. I'm glad that you were eventually able to enjoy your stay.
I would recommend you tell renters that the parking is either $2/hour or a gondola ride away for $7/night. We chose this option over The Peaks due to the price, but with the additional charge for parking we could have stayed there where the wedding was being held. A fan or two would help with no a/c. Otherwise we had a great time. Thank you.
Response from the manager Thank you for your review of Blue Mesa 40C. Yes, the parking in Mountain Village can be confusing. The descriptions on our web sites and the ones we share with our travel partners do list the parking information, unfortunately it is not always communicated to the end user. So glad to hear that you had a great time!
“Great family unit!”
We enjoyed our stay in the Blue Mesa Lodge #40C. It was a great unit for us with our two children. The twin beds in the loft was the selling feature for us choosing this unit and it worked out very well
Response from the manager It sounds like Blue Mesa 40C was perfect for your family! We look forward to your next Telluride vacation!
This unit is in an awesome spot just a few steps from the snow.It was fun to people watch as the Gondola passes by.The unit it self is getting a bit tired needs new flooring and maybe upgrades on twin beds upstairs and up the queen to a king with a little rearraging of the furniture. It also would be nice to not have to park off property the Gondola parking is expensive[$25 a day]Overall the location makes up for the downside.
Response from the manager Thank you for your review of Blue Mesa 40C. You'll be pleased to hear that the homeowner has just replaced the carpet in this condo. Unfortunately, parking is not available for this condo and is very restricted in Mountain Village. WE hope you are able to stay with us again.
“Very nice place; very good value”
