“The unit is very comfortable, nicely updated, and very clean.”
The location of the unit is great! Convenient to many things. This is our fifth year staying in Telluride Lodge but first in the unit. I would easily stay in this unit again unless I could find another unit in Telluride Lodge with a king in the master bedroom and at least another 1/2 bath. With a family of five and our kids older at least an extra 1/2 bath is key! My husband and I always struggle sleeping in a queen size bed. Other than this we'd definitely stay here again!
Response from the manager Thank you for your review. This unit is one of the nicest remodels for sure. TellLodge #333 is also lovely, with king in the master, but lacks that extra 1/2-bath. Darn it. We'll keep working on getting that combination - it would be nice. -LizaT
“Well put together in a great location.”
Close to slopes, store, parking. Very well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. Plenty of room and new hot tubs are great.
Response from the manager Thank you for your succinct review. -LizaT
“Nice ski vacation”
The condo was nice and cozy. It has been recently updated and has a great steam shower, granite kitchen and nice fireplace. We enjoyed meeting new people at the hot tub while soak away our aches and pains. My main complaint, which is hopefully fixed by now, is that we did not have working internet which is a problem for my family. Also, the microwave and TV need to be updated. The master bedroom is a bit musty smelling and can be noisy at night because it is below the main hallway. But overall, the condo is a good value for the Telluride area. It is not ski-in ski-out, but is a very short walk to the lift. Unless you are an expert skier though, chances are you won't be skiing on the runs that come down to the Telluride side of the mountain. They were very icy or double black runs coming down this direction. This is not a problem though because you can simply ride the chair lift down if you are not up for expert or icy skiing. We spent most of our time skiing on the other (sunnier) side that goes down to Mountain Village and had a great time. The town of Telluride is a cute historic town that we enjoyed. We loved that it was not crowded on the slopes or in town. It was a bit on the expensive side. Love the fact that the grocery store is right next to the condo. We cooked most meals and that helped reduce costs.
Response from the manager Your review is much appreciated. And I hope we will see you all again another time. Since the condo has relatively new flat screen TV in the living room (not more than 5 years old), I'm not sure what would need updating -- possibly one in a bedroom. But I'll check on that. Yes, that grocery store, and the gourmet Deli upstairs from there (Zest) are very handy, and a way to enjoy meals without spending too much. LizaT
The condo was beautiful, with plenty of space for all of us. We had a wonderful time. The only drawback was the hot tub was not working. I would recommend this condo to a friend and will stay there again.
Response from the manager So glad you could enjoy a little off-season time in Telluride. Sorry you hit the week that the hottub service was on vacation. Next time! -LizaT
“We will return!”
First, let me say that this is my first review of a trip and I am not amoung the easiest to please. I did as much research as is possible to help ensure that received quality residences for our 40+ skiers/snowboarders. The Telluride Lodge did not disappoint in providing clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated condos. Our staff chaperones stayed in condo #535. It was outstanding...looked as though it may have been newly remodeled...granite countertops, top of the line appliances, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, steam shower and pleanty of room to spread out. Everyting was so nice...we cooked most of our meals in the condo...beds were comfortable and most mornings ended up sleeping in much too late. The location was very convienent for us and our students. There was a grocery store on site; we rented our ski equipment from Telluride Sports which was located directly across the street and next to the ski-in/ski-out Coonskin chiarlift. Everything in town is within walking distance and if you didnt want to walk, the Galloping Goose shuttle had two pickup/dropoff stops around Telluride Lodge. Great time and excellent condo!
Response from the manager Thank you for your detailed review. With a number of condos available through TAL at the Telluride Lodge and neighboring complexes, it's a great opportunity for Club Trips. We work hard to satisfy Ski/Snowboard Group needs and desires, and specialize in the 30-200 group sizes. And we're glad you enjoyed your condo. It is one of our gold-rated properties. I hope you'll come back again, with friends and family. -LizaT
Service was very good. The unit's amenities were very good, especially the kitchen and the gas fireplace. The location is perfect. Nice views, quiet and a stone's throw to the Galloping Goose! I would definitely stay there again!
Response from the manager Thanks for your review. We look forward to having you again. Remember that returning guests get at least 10% off.
“T-ride Lodge 535”
Very nice unit and recommend it. Communal Hot Tub needs better care. Steam shower in master bath did not work and could not get the gas fireplace in living room to ignite. Probably just needed to light the pilot light. Nice television and stereo. Bring your own IPOD for music. Unit had a downstairs landing for skis/poles, etc. but too much snow to use that door. Door area had no snow removal So, we had to keep skis, etc in main living area. POWDER !!!!!!
Response from the manager Thank you for your review. We often do not know of steam shower problems unless guests advise us, we have since had it fixed. The roof does slide and fill the entry that you are referring to, so even between snow falls I will have it checked. We will also be sure to have a walk area cleaned for the guests to use this entry. Thank you so much for staying with us, we look forward to seeing you again. Thanks again, TAL (3/1/2010) UPDATE: Steam shower replaced. Snow removal now contracted throughout the winter to keep lower (back) entry clear. Brand new hot tubs and steam room on site. (2/1/11)
