“good location for family with multi generations and small children”

Location great the bus and gondola were close and the rec center is great. Large area for the children to play. bedrooms with private bath good. The outdoor grill did not work well and we could not barbecue. The beds were a little hard but we all slept well. Building manager is pleasant. Ski shop in lobby was helpful

“New Owners and Is Remodeled!”

I was a little wary from the other reviews, but the unit has been remodeled as of March 2015. New carpet, tile, TVs, paint, appliances, etc. Some of the furniture is the same, but they are definitely making it much nicer. The unit serves a large group very well with nice views, adequate kitchen, and large living rooms. Also the building has a rental shop, liquor store, and a few restaurants with great access to town. Will definitely stay in this building/condo again!

Located below Beaver Creek and 10 minutes away from Vail, the unit is a great location and the price is good versus staying up the hill. This unit needs some updating. Most of the blinds and window covers are broken or missing. I had to hang blankets on the windows to block the light so the kids could sleep. Also, several pieces of the wooden furniture felt like they would break, so we made sure to avoid them. The mattresses were very hard. The couch looks like it is about 30 years old. Price (you get what you pay for) and location are a plus, but the unit needs some minor upgrades. I rate average because of location and price, but not sure I would recommend this unit as it was.

Response from the manager This unit now has new owners.The unit had recently been remodeled. All new kitchen appliances, new bedding, flat screen televisions in every room, new furniture, new blinds and curtains in every room, refurbished dining room table and chairs, all of the sinks and showers have new fixtures, all of the walls have been repainted, new flooring, new tasteful artwork, four decks with views of Beaver Creek. Cable and WiFi. Sleeps 12-14 people comfortably. Two minute walk to the Riverfront Gondola to Beaver Creek. Avon's new pedestrian/ biking path is right outside the backdoor. This unit has one of the best views of the largest firework display in Colorado on July 3rd at Nottingham Lake. Underground parking. Three restaurants, ski/ bike rental, a wine/ liquor store in the building, two minute drive to a grocery store, and a five minute walk to the Avon rec center w/ gym, pool, and jacuzzi. 2,820 sq feet of comfort and luxury. Could not ask for more.

Refrigerator/freezer does not work. Dining table and chairs have legs that are not attached or falling off. Patio screen door does not open, curtains are falling apart. Patio door screen missing on second floor. Furniture upholstery torn. Carpets dirty. Even the coffee maker did not work.

We love to stay at the Lodge at avon. We have stayed on three different occasions. Everything is convenient from there. The staff is extremely friendly. A very good value for medium to large groups. The units could use some upgrades, large flat screen TVs and furniture, but that is probably why it is such a good value today.

My friends and I came here for spring break. I wasn't sure what to expect because I had never planned a trip before, and I was so surprised how great this place was. Walking distance to beaver creek and a shuttle to Vail. We were easily able to ski everyday. The restaurants on the first floor were great when we ran out of food. And the service was great when we locked ourselves out of the rooms. I am so glad that we were able to book this awesome place!

The place is driving distance to Vail Village, it is not in Vail, it is in Avon, which is pretty much in beaver Creek! Place easy to find and easy to check in! Perfect for a large family

Great ski condo. No frills, lots of beds (9) and full bathrooms (4), a short walk to the Beaver Creek gondola and there's a liquor store and resturant on the ground floor of the building. We ate dinner "in" every night. Nice kitchen, BBQ grill on the deck. Huge dining room table with 14 chairs (some of the chairs need to be repaired). Our group of 7 likes to drink beer so we got a keg from downstairs and the liquor store guy delivered it to our deck. The old TVs, which are in every room, need to be upgraded. Would definitely stay there again. Nice, helpful guys at the front desk. Safeway (which has a Starbucks) is a 3 minute drive away.

For the third year in a row the dining room chairs have not been repaired. They are coming apart and it is extremely easy to pinch your hand in the loose joints resulting in a blood blister. There is also a leak behind the toilet in the master bath that needs immediate attention. There is torn carpeting between the master bedroom and bathroom. It is very easy to step on the exposed carpet tack strips which are very sharp. Other than those items I would highly recommend staying here. With the new gondola in place it is very easy to access the mountain for skiing.
