“Great location, adequate 1BR, but this is a gold unit?”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2014

Convenient location in Lionshead, close to gondola and intown Vail bus service. Oversized living room furniture makes the space feel crowded. The decor in this unit is tacky and, along with the kitchen appliances, the unit is misclassified as a gold unit. But the unit is adequate, maid service is satisfactory, and this unit's partial view of the mountain from sofa and dining table is a nice amenity.

“wonderful experience with condo, facilities and staff”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2014

We were greeted like we were friends even it was our first visit. The staff were very accommodating, the rooms were nice and clean. The view we had from our Condo was marvelous and the weather/snow conditions, which you don't have control over, were also ideal. The location is great, just a short walk to the slope. We can highly recommend Westwind.

“Home away from home”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2014

Great location. Steps from gondola and shopping. Great view. Nicely appointed. Friendly service. Great value for your money. You can spread out instead of being cramped in a hotel room. 2 full size baths with heater/fans. Pull out queen sleeper in living room. Room has king bed, closet, TV. Balcony, fully supplied kitchen w sit down bar looking into living area. Almost don't want to rate it good so it's available for my next visit.

“Great location - water damage and lack of insulation dissappoint”

Reviewed 26 Dec 2013

This condo was a very short walk from the slopes. There were many restaurants and bars near by as well a bus stop for the free vail bus. There was some obvious water damage that caused a very noticeable smell. Also, it was impossible to get the temperature above 65 degrees in the condo. You could feel cold air coming in through the windows and porch door. The gas fireplace was nice. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. The kitchen had all the cooking equipment and utensils needed, so we were able to make most of our meals with the groceries we bought.

“A great getaway in the mountains.”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

The rental we had was in a nice location, you could see Vail village from the balcony. 4th of July fireworks, bands, and a parade. The unit could use a fan to push out the daily heat. (no air conditioning) The valley does cool off at night. You can here the road traffic from I-70 with the windows open. It has been about 15 years since we had stayed here. There has been many nice improvements made. You are real close to the bus route or to the shops in Lions Head.

“Wish I knew”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

Everything was fine except not knowing the unit (and entire complex wasn't air conditioned. It didn't make things miserable, but it was a little inconvenient

“This is a good place to stay.”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

First of all, there is no air conditioning. Where this is not a problem most of the year, when temperatures reach 80+, it gets warm in the room. I had the windows open and fans on, which kept the room fairly comfortable. It was nice waking up to hummingbirds, though. The view was awesome. I took another travelers' advice and requested 403. It is listed as a 1 bedroom 1 bath, but there are two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub. I decided not to ride the free Vail bus and walked to Vail Village. It was a pleasant 17 minutes with places for pedestrians only. This would be a great stay for a family: all of the amenities, less expensive, families playing in the pool, vaulted ceilings, kitchen, living room, balcony, assistance for anything I asked for was taken care of immediately...a nice stay.

“Quiet / Comfortable - and very close to skiing and shopping”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2013

Extremely quiet condo - overlooking the mountains, back parking lot and hot tubs. (We never heard any noise from the Highway!!) The outdoor patio was a welcome to get fresh air. It was clean throughout and everything worked. The close proximity to the village for food or shopping was welcomed. The close proximity to the Gondola and lift were also a welcome surprise. A bit on the pricey side - but overall made our vacation enjoyable.

“Awesome location!”

Reviewed 30 Jan 2013

This was the perfect size condo for our family of three with an amazing location! We loved be able to walk about 150-200 yards to the gondola since we went with our 2 year old! The master bed was a comfy king size and we slept great. Our daughter slept great on the pull out sofa as well. The kitchen appliances all worked well and were in great condition. We also loved our view of the mountain. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly. All in all great place to stay.

“Fall weekend in Vail/Lionshead”

Reviewed 13 Dec 2012

Nicely appointed and comfortable with an at home feel to it. Immaculate unit and surprisingly large for a one bedroom with great views of the mountain and a deck that is perfect for having morning coffee. Excellent location in the center of Lionshead with easy access to parking in the building and friendly front desk service. Less than a 5 minute walk to restaurants, lifts and shuttle bus service.
