“Warm,sunny,relaxing worry free week”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2013

Our family has been coming to Surf Song on Madiera Beach every summer for nearly twenty years. Our kids love the pool and enjoy playing shuffleboard which many resorts don't have. The ideal location for families who want to relax on the beach or sit by the pool,Johns Pass Boardwalk is directly across the street for all your shopping and dining needs which makes for a wonderful evening .The unit we stayed in was nicely decorated but had a master bath wich had a impractical glass bowl sink with a very modern faucet protruding from the wall which allows the water to drop into the sink like a waterfall which would get you all wet as well as the floor , regardless if you lowered the water flow. This unit is located conveniently across from the pool entrance but has no balcony or private area to relax outdoors .They do not allow chairs outside your door to relax or just hang your wet beach towel on ,however they do have a large sitting area adjacent to the pool for sunbathing. If you plan on sleeping late, forget it,the noise from the house keepers talking can be heard outside your door every morning. This property does have three outside BBQ grills that are used often and are convenient to use.The front office staff are very nice and informative .The property is very well kept and has nice outdoor picnic tables for your eating enjoyment.Fishing the surf is always exciting, especially because its only steps away from your door .evenings are usually quiet and peacefull and you have some great sunsets.

“Just awesome!”

We loved the condo, the beach, the property and how it was so close to the beach. Our stay was just a week but next time, hopefully will be longer. We arrived late the first day and the lamp and ceiling fan was left on for us, which I thought was really nice!

“We love Surf Song”

We love this place, altho the little bathroom in the bedroom definitley needs update. Shower curtain didn't cover the opening, so we couldn't use or else water would be all over. and mattress on pull out couch could be replaced.

“Nice place”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2009

We spent a wonderful week at the Surf Song condo #223. This is the first time that we stayed in this resort and it was almost perfect. The condo was close to the beach and close to John Pass. Everything was in order when we arrived with the exception of the internet but the "handyman" fixed this within a day. We'd definitely recommend this unit if you have no more than 2 kids since there are not enough chairs at the kitchen table (4 high chairs and a high table). The owner should provide table cloths to protect the beautiful kitchen table. See you next year !!

“Great Vacation Spot”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2008

I have been coming to Surf Song for about 17 years. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on that strip. I tried once and booked at another condo on the beach but I didn't even unpack my suitcase. I immediately called Surf Song and was lucky to get in there. I love the beach and cleanliness of the SurfSong property. I also enjoy John's Pass. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Madeira Beach area. I look forward to coming down again in 2009.

“Most enjoyable part of our holiday”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2008

Perfect spot for a family vacation. The pool was fabulous and where the children spent most of their days. The beach is literally just a step away. Best part of our vacation. As for the accommodations themselves, the rooms were clean, although some of the decor was dated. All amenities to make our lives a little easier were readily available, although the wireless connection was shaky. Would definitely stay again.

Response from the manager Please see the all new and updated #223. All new furniture, gourmet kitchen, flat panel tv, flooring, paint, trim, doors etc................

“Always Happy to Return”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2008

We've been coming to Surf Song for approximately 8 years with and without our kids and have always enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the facility as a whole and the location is perfect. We've been to many different beaches in the Caribbean and I have yet to find one that compares to this area. We love being able to walk across to John's Pass for our daily icecream cone and browsing along the board walk. When we were there in July 2008 the room we were in was in need of updating and a good cleaning, but from the looks of the recent pictures it looks like that's been taken care of. The only other thing that I saw that needed attention were the BBQ'S. We use them almost everyday when we're there, but they seemed to be getting a little tired. As always, we'll be looking forward to our next visit.

“Great time in Florida”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2008

My family has been staying at the Surf Song for over 20 years. The hotel is great. I have stayed in this room before and it is fine. I think it needed to be updated as it was a little outdated BUT it appears that the owner has renovated the entire room. The new photos look great. I am now looking forward to coming back and staying in this room next year. Warm Regards from Toronto.

“Great price right on beach”

Love the Surf Song, family owned and friendly. Can walk to John's Pass. Beach in backyard. Quiet but close to everything. Not all rooms are the same so ask for what you need.
