“The perfect family getaway!”
This was not the first year we stayed at Surf Song, nor will it be the last! Condo 118 is next to the pool which is perfect for our disabled child. The service is excellent, and everything is always neat and clean. Restaurants and shops are walking distance, either by beach or sidewalk, at John's Pass. The kitchen was superb in 118.
“Best place on beach!”
We have been going to Florida for 25 years. Our mom n pop place was torn down for bigger n better. So we stayed here 5 years ago n return every year. The staff is awesome n Housekeeping girls wonderful. If you want a place that is family oriented. Clean. And isn't run over by the "party" crowd this is your place!! We have small children n love the safety n non party hotel for our needs. Highly reccomended !!!
“We had a wonderful visit even though the weather was very cool.”
My only complaint would be that the unit we stayed in was next door to the laundry unit that the workers used. They start early and at times was noisy since it was next to the bedroom.
“Great Place with a great location”
Room was clean and roomy for 2 adults and 2 children. The beach side is quiet, and the street side is full of things to do. You never know the street side is there unless you want to. The "Bamboo Gardens" accross the street is a good place to have a beer and listen to some music. The Hut is a nice place for an easy casual dinner. The Dolphin watch, Pirate cruise and parasailing are all cool and just a short walk away at John's pass. The Beach is clean and safe. The sunsets are beautiful! The stay was both relaxing and fun. The shuffleboard court by the pool is a lot of fun! I was a little unhappy about being charged an extra fee for peak season and we went 2 weeks after Easter and it wasn't peak. It was actually kinda quiet with quite a few rooms empty. But it was still nice to walk out of your door and into the pool. with the beach only a few steps away. This is my 2nd time at surf song. I also stayed twice at Crimson and once at beach place. Crimson and surf song are the best!
“Enjoyable and Relaxing”
Although the facility is old, the room we stayed in was very modern on the inside with stainless steel refrigerator and stove as well as granite counter-tops. A couple of nights the noise was a little loud in the courtyard after 11pm, but nothing to annoying. The access to the beach was great and we felt very safe at the location. The other guests were very friendly which really made the stay enjoyable. The one major fault we had was with the tile floors. We had to wear our shoes at all times due to the floors being dirty. Without shoes your feet would be black in a couple of minutes. They could have done a better job on the floors.
“Great Beach, lovely sunsets, A+ location”
This was our second time staying at this condo and was pleased with all aspects of the stay. They even provided free lunch at a local resturant due to work being carried out in the condo above us. We left, had lunch and upon return the work had been carried out. We will defintely make it our destination in the future.
Surfsong was an older, yet wonderful, property. The office staff was very helpful with from the time we made our reservation and all throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the close proxiomity of this small resort to both the beautiful beach as well as John's Pass. Our trip was just a few days, but we could tell by the other guests that many of them come back year after year. Everyone was very friendly and many of them had become friends over the years. The room was clean and the housekeeping was efficient. It was nice having a full kitchen so we could eat in our room whenever we wanted. The stove in our unit could stand to be replaced, but it did work ok. We wish we could have stayed longer than 4 days. It was a wonderful break from snowy Michigan!
Was schedualed to stay at Crimison Tide, but they were having construction there and the room we booked was very far away from the pool. Talked to staff, due to I had to have back surgery when we returned and I had a hard time walking very far. Unable to walk out to beach because of loose sand, anyhow they traded my room for a room directly across from pool. In the pool there is 0 gravity so it felt so good on my back and the whirlpool also felt good when I could use it, someone set directly in front of it ALL day and read a book and when she moved, her family members would save her spot for her. This should not be allowed, when ask if I could turn on the jets, she would not move so I had little room to sit and enjoy. Anyhow the staff way great. The room was very outdated and it was stocked very poorly with kitchen items.
“Wonderful...great vacation spot”
We have come to Florida frequently over the last 27 years and we always vacation at the Surf's Song Beach Resort. We had a wonderful time. The condo is right on the beach and allowed for our elderly parents the flexibility of walking along the beach or just sit beside the pool and play cards at the tables that are available. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased with the comfort of the condo. We'd definitely recommend this spot - especially if you're bringing kids and want to spend a lot of your vacation at the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed having the flexibility to cook our own meals due to dietary restrictions with going out all the time. We also enjoyed walking over to John's Pass and tasting the wine that is actually produced in Florida...very refreshing! We never get tired of coming because we always enjoy our time on Madeira Beach. We'll definitely be back next year! You, too, should think about visiting...sun, sand and tranquility make an awesome stress-free vacation!
