Experience Great Exuma from the comfort and privacy of the Hummingbird House and enjoy stunning 360 degree views of the colorful waters of Elizabeth Harbor, Master Harbor, Crab Cay and the south side bone fish flats. Soak up the sun and revel in the mild maritime climate of the cays while making this well appointed refuge your own, with space for parties of up to 6 guests. Lush tropical foliage surrounds this centrally located property that offers easy access to the south side water ways, beaches and bone fish flats; take a 10 minute drive to Georgetown or head up the road to Cheater’s restaurant. Or stay in and enjoy the unique open floor plan of the upper floor: a fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room areas and 2 covered, elevated porches connected by a walk around deck space. The upper floor also contains a single bedroom and half bath as well as a day bed in the living room that sleeps 1 guest. Downstairs you’ll find spacious king and queen bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, and the house laundry room. Wake up to the tranquil sounds of hummingbirds and bananaquits that frequent the tropical gardens surrounding the house.
The house is located 20 minutes or less by car from the beautiful southern beaches, including Hooper's Bay, Jolly Hall, Stocking Island, Forbes Hill and the world famous Tropic of Cancer (voted among the top ten beaches of the world by “Island Living” magazine). The bonefish flats, known for world-class fishing, are a ten minute walk away and the Moriah Harbour Cay National Park is minutes away by car. These waters are fabulous for kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and other water sports.
The private location of this house provides the perfect getaway for those seeking peace and tranquility despite being close to several restaurants and the amenities of the quaint town of George Town. Whether you enjoy relaxing, golfing, bird watching, beach combing, fishing, water sports or night life, the Hummingbird House is your home away from home for enjoying all the cays have to offer.
We do charge 100.00 extra per person after 4 guests. We ask that guests be 25 or older unless traveling with parents. One must be 25 to rent a car in the Bahamas.
Although the Exuma International Airport(GGT) is very small and quaint, the following airlines fly into Exuma : Delta, United, American , Air Canada, US Air,Bahamasair, Sky Air and Silver. There are direct flights from Miami , Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

- How do I make changes to my booking?
You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mike/margaret (the owner) a message.
If Mike/margaret (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
